i'm sorry to contradict you again, but there's a lot of conjecture in your posts

the market price isn't dictated by hostile clause. it works the other way around - hostile clauses are increased to follow the market price. what you're suggesting would make inflation worse. if you make hostiling more difficult it will increase demand.

also, hostiling is one of the best things in the game - it's never going to be changed.

keeping 24 players isn't a luxury. it's a necessity. I'm afraid you are going to struggle with a squad of 11-14 players.

yeah we both have completely different opininion .....thats the only reason why i wanted some @ to cmmnt on my suggestion to get a third opinion and correct me if i were wrong only bcause they r more experienced.... bt no worry.....

a lot of good suggestions have been made. i wanted to share some thoughts without sounding redundant.

recently i had a high fc player hostiled for near 180M. because of the rising inflation, i knew that i should replace that player with an equivalent player with a high fc. bank interest rates do not keep up with inflation, so i would lose money if i didn't spend it. i turned around and paid a ridiculous hostile clause to buy back a similarly high FC player knowing that with training he would be worth twice the amount in only a few weeks.

this led me thinking about a few things:

1. if you have too much money, you need to 'invest' it, otherwise it will lose value. right now, the most valuable thing in the game is players. revenue from stadiums for higher div teams is upwards of 16M a game, excluding all of the other bonuses. there is just too much money in the system, it makes sense to pay more for a high FC player otherwise, they would lose money. as suggested before in other posts, the expenditures should rise with income (stadium maintenance costs, salaries, etc)

2. managers that dont have the revenue to support a high salary for all of their players will always get hostiled by higher div managers willing to pay.
there should be a higher tax % on the hostile for higher div managers that want to hostile lower division players (a way to take money out of the system and for them to think twice about hostiling a lower div team) OR change the loyalty/fidelity for lower div managers so that it increases the hostile clause to be paid out if someone wants to have that player. this will help with high div managers that hostile lower div players right when they hit 8000 exp.

- it would take money out of the system w an additional tax
- reduce the hostile clause unless you really want the player
- protect lower div managers as they build their teams and give them compensation to reinvest

3. you can increase the supply of players by making older players still increase their avg with training. it will increase the supply of players and decrease the demand on junior high FC players. it doesn't make sense to pay a lot for an older player right now because they will lose their avg. if you look at most div1 and div2 teams, few players are above 24.

4. high FC/progression players are valued because they can reach their avg very quickly. if the training curve was modified in some (not all) players, then an fc 65 player that reached his peak faster would be just as valuable as a fc 85 player who reached it slowly. it could be another attribute - the fast learning trait or whatever. this will spread out the demand and maybe decrease the cost of a high fc player. progression isn't always available on players

My suggestion on curbing inflation will be that as from division 1 to 5, there should be a specific amount a team must have, to procede to the next level.

For instatnce, you must have a minimum amount of money to be in the following divisions:

Division 6 and 7 = £0

Division 5 = £30million

Division 4 = £60million

Division 3 = £180million

Division 2 = £500million

Division 1 = £1billion

These will make Managers to work towards esuring that they meet up with such amount of money before proceding to the next division.

If any manger default, point(s) will be deducted from his team.

I was just thinking wild, i don't know if these possible (am currently in div5, i doubt if i can raise £60mil to progress if i get to the point of promotion. Nevertheless, when the time come, i will have to find avenue to get the money or i relegate! ^_^ )

Jesus 500m for div 2, do you know how few managers have that amount of money. I certainly would have been penalized in every division and I was considered rich by everyone else in the ninja's. 21/05/2012 20:43
