Big Teams facing small teams? 2007 - 2008 Cardiff City 2003 - 2004 Milwall That is the modern era. If u look further back, you will find plenty of lower league teams making it into the Final. So I have no idea what this '2008 FA' comment of yours is about. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FA_Cup_Semi-finals#2010s That is a list of all the past semi-finalists. Plenty of lower league teams over the years. So again, I did did my research, now feel free to do yours. |

two amateurs in the final? very rare. But that's not the point. You said, that since 2008, the FA has made changes. I said no they haven't. You said: Go and do your research. I did my research. I have found no evidence of what you have said regarding this '2008 FA' matter. Please show me, or feel free not to make any further points on the matter. |

To explain more about what i mean primiership has become tense that the big for only win this cups. So the f.a decide that big teams should face each other e.g when we hav 2 team from big club and 2 from small the 2 big team face eachother while the small team face eachother also. - most of the past winners are team from english league not div2 or 3 e.g wanderers, blackburn, tottenham, preston north end, aston villa, shielfied wednesday they are all average teams then. And they won. So the FA want someting similar to this so that the money can circulate. Remember this take place during the global econmic meltdown. |

Yes, I know what you are saying Beanwalker, you don't need to keep explaining it. What I AM saying, is that it is bullshit. "So the f.a decide that big teams should face each other e.g when we hav 2 team from big club and 2 from small the 2 big team face eachother while the small team face eachother also." "So the FA want someting similar to this so that the money can circulate." SHOW ME PROOF OF WHERE THE FA HAVE SAID THIS. Or just stop replying. |

in the history of FA cup only 8 teams who are playing outside the top level of english football have gone to win the competition. Thus far the FA cup final has never been contested by two team from outside the top flight. UNIQUELY, in 07/08 3 of the 4 semi finalist (barnsley, cardiff city and west brom) were from outside the top flight. Although portsmouth went on to win it. Get my point most of the time big teams won major trophy but to allow small teams to even reach the final the road must not be to hard for them. That what happening when the FA draw big teams together so that the small team can progress. |
