The only problem I have with it is that if I decided I wasn't going to win the striker cup, in would be to my benefit to lose deliberately so I'd have a better chance of winning the Silver Cup.

It may have already been suggested but to alleviate this problem maybe putting a limit on Gate receipts (link with friendlies but a bit higher) would be a good idea.

1- we have 3 competition already, league private league, striker cup.
My say is on striker cup: due to the fact that small team are eliminated early in striker cup it make it feel like small teams are been cheated and this is not so. As a manager you have to struggle, plan on how to make revenue, invest in your team it take more time but you have to do that. The managers that are now in upper class which generated up to 9 to 10 million at home per match also suffer b4 they reach that top positions. Nothing goes for noting.
2. If there should be another cup almost every team will be busy playing one match or the other there wont be time for friendlies again.
3. The only help that the developers can do for the amateurs (am also included cos am in div 5) is follow the format that the F.A used to help the small teams. In 2008 the english FA said they want small teams also to reach the finals of FA cup and Carling since then they group big teams with each other so that small teams can also face each other at the final 1 big team will now play a small team.
What am suggesting is that in the striker cup from begining to the end all teams should be group in 2, the big teams(div4,3,2) in group A while the small teams(div7,6,5) will be in group B. But in the quarter final it should become random selection any body can face each other. This can help the lower team to progress more in the striker cup.
3. No more additional league striker cup should be upgraded to accomodate more lower teams progress.

Lol Practice... Read the thread before commenting!

And Bean,

You have some points, all of which has already been mentioned...

Except point number 3.

That is completely incorrect. The FA Cup Draw has been randomised for almost a Century. That will never change. Hence the phrase 'the luck of the draw'.

EVERY Professional, Semi-Professional, and some Amateur teams in official leagues have been participating in the F.A. Cup since its inauguration.

This has been so for over 100 years, and you're telling me from 2008 onwards this has changed?

Premiership teams enter from the 3rd Round onwards.

From round ONE onwards, no teams are seeded, and the entire draw is taken at random.

I think you need to do your research.

P.S.

From 2008 Onwards, here are the list of finalists:

2008–09 Chelsea 2–1 Everton
2009–10 Chelsea 1–0 Portsmouth
2010–11 Manchester City 1–0 Stoke City

Pretty much all Premiership teams!

I believe that is was is commonly referred to as:

"OWNED."
