I'm sick and tired of having so many offsides because the other team defence is all put up beyond the midfield line. And I'm sick and tired of not having a way to tell my players not to pass the ball if the others are offside. I confess that I also use that in my advantage, but I really think that players should be forced to make a REALLY good tactic and formation in order to play the game, and not just put all the players on the adversary's midfield...and hope to win with a lucky ball. I'm now playing against a team that has all his players in poor fitness, stamina and low morale...10 players following the ball...and I can't win because I get about 30 offsides in the game, that wouldn't happen at all, if we did abolish this ambiguous rule from the game. WE CANNOT CONTROL our players attitude ingame. Either you remove the offside feature from the game at all (for instance, puting a rule that players offside never go after the ball)...or you put some kind of an "offside prevention", in order to force the player with the ball never to pass to an obvious offside team member. For instance...put a maximum distance for being called offside...and players over that maximum don't get the ball passed to them at all. Force game users to think a strategy and a formation...otherwise...the game will always be unfair for those who try to play it with brains (and not by bugs advantage). |

Just keep your strikers behind or on the ball. Not too hard to do if you do it right imo... | 07/02/2013 00:01 |

Either wait for new sim or put the red line in tactics back | 07/02/2013 00:07 |

I've done that already...but it's hard to get the attackers back when your opponent put's all his players in our midfield for the entire game 10 players on top of the ball...and never attacks...just waits for a lost ball and luck to do the job. | 07/02/2013 00:14 |

Another option is to play with more forwards, keeping them back behind the ball. once they get through the defensive line they rarely pass to each other. Give that a go and see what happens. Edit: Although the point of this thread is probably not so much to remove offisde, but to reduce it, it's probably worth pointing out that the new sim will make an effort to do so. It's not football without offside. Edited by @practicesquad 07-02-2013 00:25 |

Well...but I think the fun of the game is to use a tactic that you want...and not be limitted on the tactics you can use, just because of the constant offside. I agree with you that offside is part of the game...but...there is a lot of room from improovement...I mean...no player in real life would pass the ball to other team mates knowing that they are the only players around with the adversary behind them. So...I suggest this then...when standing in Offside position...players can only pass to team members behind them (as football rules sugest to prevent offside)...or that they don't pass the ball at all...and try the goal. Seems pretty stupid for me to see all the defence behind my players...having my RIM or OM running with the ball alone with a CF in front of him...and at the last time...instead of trying to score a goal..passes the ball to CF causing the offside. If a player did that in real life...wouldn't play for the rest of the season, right? |

I do that already. Believe me...I use all the tricks that other experient users said...and drasticaly improoved my game, and even made me possible to go up to 5th division. But I really think that the Offside function is still very wrong. As I said...no way in real life a player would pass the ball to other team players knowing that they are CLEARLY offside. They would pass to one behind him or not pass at all and keep running to try to score. That is what I'm suggesting...the offside can stay...but at least...change it to prevention on obvious situations. |

When the ball is in your defending half of the field, keep your strikers below the midfield line. When it gets to the midfield line, put them right above it, or right in line with the ball. that's how i do it at least... | 07/02/2013 01:35 |
