Some of you are probably familiar with my campaigning for new schools in countries which are not yet on the schools map. I noticed hupholland had an impressive thread on school suggestions which was coming back to life earlier this year before tragically being closed. Here is the link to that thread if you want to see some of the ideas that have been put down already: http://uk.strikermanager.com/foros/hilo.php?id=273644

I would like this thread to be open for as long as possible so people can add their own suggestions to the discussion.

First of all, I want to focus more towards Asia and that way. Here on SM we have many who live in Asia/Middle East whose countries are not represented on SM. Lets start off with a few suggestions.

India (20%) sorry akhil!
Pakistan (20%)
Turkey (60%) May need a seperate map since it is not shown on Asia
Israel (30-40%) May need a seperate map since it is not shown on Asia
Armenia (10-20%) Difficult country, some say it is in Europe, others say it is in Asia. Geographically it is south of the Caucuses meaning Asian, but it is up for debate.
North Korea (30-40%) Well, they were in the 2010 world cup!

I will leave the rest for those who know the region better/ have the time and patience to put the rest down

Now, let's get to Europe. We seriously need to add quite a few countries here!

Wales (40%)
Serbia (60%)
Estonia (20%)
Latvia (20%)
Lithuania (20%)
San Marino (10%) *hupholland suggestion* (may eventually be dropped from the list) (ok, it's becoming a joke )
Slovakia (40-60%) can't make my mind up
Slovenia (60%) (@Horath suggested 60%)
Hungary (60-70%) was 40%, but themadhatter thought 60-70% was better
Romania (40%)
Andorra (10-20%)
Georgia (10-20%) It is considered as being in Europe
Belgium (70-80%)
Norway (50%)
Finland (20-30%)
Iceland (20-30%)
If you have another country to add, or want to change a rating of a country, put it down as a suggestion!!

Ok, Africa is next. Two major suggestions, the rest you guys can contribute

Morroco (20-40%) (hupholland said 50% but I think 20-40% may be more realistic)
South Africa (70%) HOW DID THEY MISS SOUTH AFRICA OUT IN AFRICA?! MADNESS!!
Senegal (60%) (kkii567 recommendation)

North America

Jamaica (40%) (Xianne)
Cuba (20%) Good ol' Fidel

Any other countries on continents you want down, write it down

San Marino has never caused a single surprise, they've only won 1 match...ever. San Marino has only ever had like 3 players that have ever played in any top flight, and even then only like 1-2 have ever been any good, plus it's such a small country that you'd be getting players like once every 3 weeks. At least with somewhere like Austria (20% school) there are actually some real life players that have done things. I think it'd be even hard to give it a 5% rating, much less 10%.

Not to be all debbie downer, but do we really need any new schools right now? At the moment there is a school for almost every price range and every player quality. I understand it's cool to have your home country's players getting produced, but for most people it's probably a waste of money (who would want to dump a bunch of money into a 20% school that will maybe produce 1 player a season worth anything?

At a time where the devs have clearly caused a major problem with yesterday's downtime. I'm sure a school is just some copy/paste and alter a few values, so it's not that hard, but when uplay is having a hard time controlling the basic features of the game, it seems dangerous to ask for a bunch of new things for them to mess up.

Actually they have caused a single surprise: they scored the fastest goal ever, here is the goal:
San Marino is in the balance, it most likely will be dropped when the time comes to add new countries to the schools.

As for the rest of your argument, there are two sides to it. Yes It can be a waste of time and money to some, but for others it is different. People do like to see their own countries have a spot on the schools map and this helps attract more people to SM. Also there are some countries that have produced exceptional players that are not on schools e.g. Denmark (Peter Schmeichel), Wales (Ryan Giggs) and so on.

This is not a short term project, this is here for the long term. I'm sure many managers would agree that having more countries on the schools map would be a great idea.

I think Greece would be a good addition. They have a reasonably strong football history and there is a decent sized Greek contingent who play this game. I would like to see European schools added for the euros the same as South American Schools were added for the Copa America.

I would also like to see some schools updated. I'm fairly sure most people will agree that Spain should be a 100% school, and I think this would be the perfect time to update it should more euro schools be added
