.XOXO may have thought he was well ahead for top scorers but after the last 2 rounds, he was caught up by soli who is now in lead. Grantis still has 2 warriors close behind but will he ever make it? He also has the most players in top 4 and the fastest goal in top10. Fastest goal by Stéphane Ohrel from sonymose's team who is currently ranked 39th. End of a Ninja Season: Shadow Masters (.XOXO) Season III ================================================ Another enthralling season of the Shadow Masters (.XOXO) has ended and Drunken Monkey (Kasul) won the title after a tense finale. They went from being pretenders to contenders and eventually won this fascinating campaign by the slightest of margins. It is expected that the league will be Shadow Masters (Kasul) next season as the Ninjas don’t only put the name of the league winners on the Cup, they also put it “on the league”. Brentford FC (@grantis) finished a close second while Season 2 champions, Shinobi (.XOXO), finished in third place. As usual, all the games were simultaneously played on all the grounds with the top two and bottom places as the only major areas left undecided. Drunken Monkey (Kasul), who was top of the league by 1 point going into the final game had a tough away fixture with the defending champions while second-placed Brentford FC (@grantis), considering their inferior goal difference, needed nothing but a victory at home to the resurgent ✠WHITE HEART (-ANCO-) to stand any chance of winning the league. Kasul could not have asked for a better start for his team when after 9 minutes, Chris Mccallahan tumbled under a challenge from DFM Sepp "Sexy 12" Blusch of Shinobi (.XOXO). The referee immediate pointed to the spot ignoring protests by the home players who claimed that the foul was committed outside the area. Alberigo Guspiretti made no mistake in dispatching the penalty sending the boisterous away fans into revels. However, the league title wasn’t going to come easy as Gordon "Sexy King" Kostic curled in a second-half free-kick from more than 40 yards to consign them (Drunken Monkey) to a 3-2 defeat. In the other league decider, GK Carmelo Hannah couldn't deal with a 23rd minute free-kick by ✠WHITE HEART (-ANCO-) as he could only divert the ball into his own goal to give his side a depressing start. Despite a first-half equalizer by the free-scoring Ezequiel Castillo, ✠WHITE HEART led by 4-1 going into the final 15 minutes of the game. Two late goals by Brenford FC (@grantis) was not enough to get the required points as they lost 3-4. Kasul, who had almost lost hope of winning the league title, was astonished and yet, relieved that Brentford FC (@grantis) could not capitalise on their loss. "I am not surprised that we lost our game today. Shinobi (.XOXO) is too strong and I had three injured players" was the response of Kasul in the press conference following the game. When asked what he will do with the 25.2m prize money, Kasul retorted "I will build VIP seats in The Pure Class Arena" as he left to join his players and fans in the celebrations. @grantis, who had an eye on his Public League decider coming into the game, congratulated Kasul on his success and took the runner-up prize of 10.08m. Elsewhere, ☯ 忍 F. C ☯ ℠ (lucifercave) overcame Ɲıƞȷą (sgand) 2-0 in a bottom of the table clash to send Ɲıƞȷą bottom of the league. Never-say-die †Pansies† (ABC DEFG) won 4-2 against †eam S†owgood (stowgood) at Pansy City ground with LW Martin Havlicek scoring a second-half hat-trick in the space of 30 minutes. ♔Al Ahly♔ (@solirocket) nipped a 3-2 victory over Junior Barcelona f.c (sonymose) at the Arena while FC Ubuntu (Ubuntu) went home 6-2 winners over Only on Tuesdays (hewhoamareismyself). ❊swif† shadows☻ (patient) thumped FC Infinit Arad (clau2510) 4-0 to get their best-ever finish with Octavio "solirocket" Mallo grabbing a hat-trick in the process.
