im using full backs and i dont have any L/C/R DF, they're not bad and actually very usefull if your defensive line is deep. I use a high defensive line so i will be changing soon 16/01/2012 04:47

Quite true that's something i've experienced too i too have persisted with traditional 4 man defense with a LB & a RB but my fullbacks dont really contribute much in defense nor in offense 16/01/2012 04:56

@solirocket, your formation is crazy! I can't believe it works. Your DFMs must be very deep too to cover that space.

Uruguay1950, How many rounds of striker cup are there? Hopefully get to cause some upsets soon!

GonRoniya, glad someone else has noticed! Deffo gonna get rid of them for most games soon, get more attackers on the pitch and score way more goals hopefully!

DFMs are probably the best defenders you can get. Having one on your team makes it easier to chase down attackers that break through your defensive line and best of all, they are not affected by the new speed penalty applied to defensive positions (LB,RB,RDF,LDF,CDF) 16/01/2012 12:54

CDF are most required right now especially your opponents are using CF.

2 DFM are a good idea tho, but you need a good one. Will help defenders (so they can maintain their position) and midfielders (so your LIM/RIM/IM can go for more offensive) as well.

For defenders, 3 good qualities are better than 5 low qualities of them. All is subject to you opponent, which they are good at, LF/RF, LW/RW or CF?

Btw, I agree with Uru, in SC you'll get more intense opponent where they will study your match!

I play a 5-3-2 formation, with LB/RB/LDF/RDF/CDF/MDF/LIM/RIM/RF/CF. My fullbacks are quite fast and they serve well in linking defense/attack from the wings to the center. They're good defenders too when the opponent goes on the wings. But my most important are the CDF/MDF, they are the ones that break the attacks. The deep-lying RF allows me to score goals even if my opponent is playing a high defense line. 16/01/2012 15:27

zozo2k3, what about your RDF/LDF? Do they get up to much? Five in defence seems excessive, but I'd be glad to hear what you think 16/01/2012 15:31

uruguay, dont look at my fullbacks...i dont train them properly, one person who does is valarboloo...check his junior squad. If you train them properly, they do get the aggression ability.

Nvm, just remembered that valarboloo quit...banana sport is another example
