If everyone using that strategy than there will be no Goal score in the future , haha 14/11/2011 14:09

I am trying to find a solution against offside, but realised if u play a CF then u don't have a hope in hell. Since your wingers now and then manage to break free but that player always looking to pass to your CF who is either lagging miles behind and eventually will get trampled all over by defenders when receives the ball or he'll be in a offside position himself. 14/11/2011 14:18

Also you'll find people not bothering to watch the simulations, which I tend to do these days just watch the goals. Because it is getting tedious!!

i think in this game the speed of forwards is really low... a defender with an average of 60 or thereby has speed attribute of 60 while i was looking at some of the div 3 players and their CFs of average > 70 have speed attributes <60

this is in total contrast to real world where forwards are almost always faster than defenders (unless we are talking of a certain Berbatov ) and this is something which must be looked at by the admins

and yes i agree defenders who hack players from behind should get a card... especially when that player is clearly through on goal...

Train your CF to be faster then.

i knew someone was going to say this

look i understand what you are saying but i was talking about natural attributes the CFs had when we started with the new sim.... or the attributes a CF has when he comes from schools... the speed is always low while in the real world most of the forwards are speedy...

That's true, but there's a number of position like that. Fullbacks that can't tackle for example. Just saying that the game has thrown us some curve balls to begin with on starting stats, but they can be fixed. (I am presuming that you can train CF's to run, ive not tried) 14/11/2011 14:59

I've played against someone who uses an offside trap too. He beat me 3-2. So that's not really the case.

There are 4 types of Striker in from what i have seen in real life
1 ) The speedy : Owen , Aguero , Saviola , Luis Suarez , E'too , Messi
2 ) The brute : Droba , Jan Koller , Heskey , Nicola Zigic
3 ) The all rounder : Forlan , Henry , Rivaldo , Zidane , Rooney
4 ) Goal poacher : Inzaghi , Klose , Berbatov .
So, in this game all CF only good at shot and dribbling

It is the first season of the new sim mate, I'm hoping that it will grow in complexity as time goes on and maybe allow you to have more types of players. 14/11/2011 15:08

Agree with grantis, as it's the first season with the new sim admin set all players of the same position who had equal average to the same attributes. Now it is up to us to decide what attributes are best to train for each position going forward for future seasons. 14/11/2011 16:06

well i agree that we can develop players as we see fit...

but the original point was about the offside traps and very high defense lines being employed by some managers... something should be done about it...
and also about the defenders who hack attackers from behind when they are clean through on goal.. they should get cards
