I appreciate the support. Thanks, and best of luck for the rest of the season. If there's anytime you would like to schedule a friendly, I'd enjoy a challenge. And of course, I'll probably wind up reporting on it. Sincerely, Stundek Manager, Stonepost Untied. |

In business news, Stonepost United welcomes Souvenir and Trvl to their host of Stadium billboard sponsors. Along with Milton, Three Air, All Sports and Richard Sport, this provides a valuable source of income to the club as they set to roll out their transfer campaign. "We hope that the relationship we have with our sponsors is not just a nameless faceless one, but one in which we hope all of these companies will share and enjoy our games, and enjoy in our continued successes." said manager Stundek today. "These firms are vital to our survival, and I want to be placed on record to say that I certainly value those relationships." |

Sunday October 2, 2011 Stonepost United collected only one point in six at the weekend as they first endured a 1-1 draw with Pie Eaters F.C. in the Blue Square Premier League on Saturday then followed that with a 4-1 away dismantling at the hands of Manchesthair United on Sunday. "There's nothing you can say to excuse that" said manager Stundek, then went on to provide several: "We were under-prepared - I hadn't hit the "Recover" button, and I worked all day Saturday at the butcher shop." As for the Sunday result, Stundek stated he was asleep when the game was on, and by the time he got up to check the scores it was all over. "And besides, I wanted to watch Tottenham beat Arsenal in the English Premier League first, before I worried about this lot!" Stonepost United view the Blue Square Premier League as a good way to generate income from home games and gain some experience, but manager Stundek is realistic about his chances for success: "look - we're punching above our weight here, there's plenty of managers in that league that are stronger than us, and plenty of players that are stronger. We're certainly here to have a go, and we'll pick up some points along the way, there's no doubt about that - but I'm under no illusions about how this season is going to go. We can simply only take and prepare for one game at a time." Stonepost United next meet Real 7 FC in the Div 6/Grp 309 at the Ghencea in Romania, tomorrow. Saturday 1st October 2011 Stonepost United 1: Danny Jack (53') Pie Eaters F.C. 1: Ranot Ashwin (4') Meat & Tatty Kop, North-East England. Att: 28,272 Sunday 2nd October, 2011 Manchesthair United 4: Tom Wiltjer (25'), Brian Willsie (69'), Shilton Jibon (77', 80') Stonepost United: 1 Bryan Wilding (75') Manchesthair Field Att: 15,934 Edited by Stundek 02-10-2011 20:40 |

Despite a furious opening five minutes, Stonepost United endured a torrid afternoon at the hands of Real 7 FC, receipients of a 4-1 drubbing that has left manager Stundek fuming. "It could've been much closer had we not been standing about seemingly with our hands in our ruddy pockets for much of the game!!" Gavril Mutu was devastating in the box and scored four times. Of particular note was Stonepost's almost unwillingness to score when clean through on goal. "Some of our chances today would make Fernando Torres' miss against Manchester United look good!" wailed Stundek. "They were much quicker than us and clearly demonstrated what a good bit of running with the ball will do!! We'll take that back to traning with us, and believe you me, there'll be some work done this week. Anyone who doesn't want to wear the Stonepost shirt can pack their cases and head elsewhere." United next host Yeovil Town on Wednesday. Real 7 FC:4 (Gavril Mutu 4', 35', 61', 75') Stonepost United: 1 (Chris Earl 1') Att: 29,752 Ghencea Stadium. |

A Chris Earl hat-trick was the catalyst for a Stonepost United fight back to draw Yeovil Town this afternoon in a six-goal thriller at the Stonepost Stadium. Manager Stundek was extremely pleased with his sides' fighting qualities: "We never gave up. We busted our hides and when we were 2-3 down with less than twenty minutes to go, it was a real nail-biter, but our boys came back, and I was extremely pleased we could get something out of the game against a very strong and well-organised side". It has been a somewhat topsy-turvey introduction to Striker football for Stonepost - a solid pre-season mixed with a couple of good early results, tempered with some bad defeats, but manager Stundek says is taking it all in stride: "We're starting to come together as a team, the traning is just now coming along and taking root; the next stop will be to take a long hard look at the team in the mid-term and see if some transfer activity wouldn't go amiss. But we're new to the game, we're finding our feet, and based off today's evidence, I'd say we found 'em pretty well." Stonepost United next face Canadian Real FC away on Friday. Stonepost United: 3 (Chris Earl 37', 47', 84) Yeovil Town: 3 (Jason Foster 15', Sean Whitehead 31', 42') Att: 26,131 Stonepost United Stadium. |

Thanks very much for hosting this. I doubt it's going to make front-page news, but it was a superb result nonetheless. Yeovil had somehow thrashed CHIANGMAI UNITED 13-0 in the previous round, so I was happy to take a point from them. It was nice to see the story in print like that. Many thanks once again. Stonepost United collected all three points without a ball being kicked this afternoon in their Div.6/Grp309 match against Real Fc. "I'd say that was a pretty UN-Real experience" quipped manager Stundek as his players showed up, ran about a bit, then trudged off again. "Guess we're off to t'pub - to study up for our next Blue Square Premier game against Chordie Chopper Lovers, o'course". The boss was also keen on having the game at home, saying "it'd be hard for me to put that we're visiting 'The Fucking Abortion Stadium' now, wouldn't it? I guess I can look forward to November 20 when that happens!!" In other news, Stonepost Stadium welcomes Martin Galindo to it's family of billboard sponsors. "This is a lucrative addition, and one which I hope will forward our burgeoning football club." said manager Stundek. Stonepost United's next face Chordie Chopper Lovers tomorrow at Stonepost Stadium. Real Fc: 0 Stonepost United: 0 Stonepost United win 3-0 due to Real FC forfeiting the match. Att: 0 anik area. |

Stonepost United's players clearly had plenty left in the tank after yesterday's no-show from Real Fc as they thumped Chordie Chopper Lovers 7-1 at the Stonepost Stadium early this morning. Chris Earl was the chief destroyer again, netting four goals, however he was aided and abetted by a brace from Danny Jack, with Peter Bonner getting in on the act as well. Despite being outnumbered almost two to one in terms of possession, Stonepost brutally put away the few chances that came their way with a level of clinical efficiency not previously witnessed. The understanding which is developing between Ryan Wright in the center of midfield feeding his forward strike force is almost at the kinetic level - and Stonepost's level of play showed a higher level of professionalism as they beat Chopper's offside trap time and again. "I sincerely hope this is not a false dawn, and instead it's a sign of things to come," said a cautious yet excited Stundek, "we had a fantastic result today - however, in reality, this was almost a formality, given how depleted they were." With both the Div.6/Grp309 league and the Blue Square Premier League now in full song, manager Stundek hopes his team will improve with each passing game - "but I won't really be able to take stock until we're mid-way through the season", though current signs are very encouraging. Ryan Wright in particular is certainly coming into his own, and the defensive partnership is starting to show signs of true cohesion. "We'll certainly prepare for each individual opponent with in-depth examination of their style and focusing on getting the best possible team out there." Stonepost United next entertain "See my squad, good play" in the Blue Square Premier League tomorrow. Stonepost United: 7 (Danny Jack 1', 19'; Chris Earl 14', 17', 75', 87'; Peter Bonner 24') Chordie Chopper Lovers: 1 (Osvaldo Pastoriza 62') Att: 26,331 Stonepost Stadium. |
