Buckeye623 said: What is your way? Intercepting passes x 2 tackling x 2 running x 2 clearences x 1 aerial play x 1 running with ball x 1 Yes you all may be thinking that's a 9 day schedule that's a bit stupid, there is usually 90 days in a season so my schedule fits in quite nicely That's for this half of season, last half I did 2 aerial play and 2 running with ball instead of clearences and a intercepting passes. Buckeye623 said: If you're training all of LDF/CDF/RDF, would aerial x1/Running With the Ball x1 substitute for aerial x2? Yeah you could do that. It's always difficult to get the training balanced to cover them all.. most of the time either LDF/RDF or CDF is sacrificed (at least temporarily). Eam's way with 9 days helps as he likes his CDF's over the rest whereas I prefer LDF/RDF. |

Yeah that's true I train my CDFs over my LDF/RDF as I can work on them better in senior with my DFMs, especially as I have a 97 prog CDF, it works out well atm |

Funny enough i have the slowest trainings, started from mid season, i hate leadership stats. Clearances x1 Tackling x1 Intercepts x2 Man to Man x1 Running x2 running with the ball x2(on a Cdf 'Week') and Aerial play x2 on a normal week. Who knows how to train faster with no Leadership? |

Leadership is part of Clearances, Running wtb, Aerial Play, and M2M.. so I'm pretty sure avoiding it isn't possible. The sole leadership-only trait for that area of the field is Corner Kicks, which is leadership for LB/RB. So, if I'm reading this right, avoid corner kicks and sprints when training your xDF, and you're doing as good as you can. |

Focus on LDF/RDFs or CDFs dont try to train them both. So its LDFx2 CDF RDFx2 in line-up and 7 LDF/RDFs in subs or CDFx2 RDF/LDFx2 in line-up and 7 CDFs in subs. I would go with 7 days schedule 2+2+2+1 to get good results fast, get 14yo and train them 4 seasons with this schedule you can fix what is missing when they are 18yo in 5th season. All have different training strategies see what works for you. |

Also: If you buy a player with good prog whose traits aren't balanced but you want to keep him.. your training for a time needs to balance the player traits at the expense of the "theory" as stated above in this thread. I've got a few xDF right now with low technique.. so I'm doing extra running with the ball/aerial play for a while until the technique is at a minimum equal to speed. |
