Personally, I like facing the best teams from this PL and I'm sure other teams like facing me, at least in the long run. If I play Ali, wetback, kierbeer, ronnie, Mayus, or @vgates (historically very strong opposition for me in this PL), I know it's going to highlight strengths and weaknesses in my setup because they will for sure be throwing everything they possibly can at me to find out the same of theirs'. It can be good, bad, and sometimes ugly, but it definitely keeps me on my toes!

Of course, I am only referring to beta friendlies, nothing else. Squad management, as demonstrated by Brendan Rogers this week, is very important in this game, so playing a B team in a PL, cup, or easier league game can often be the smart choice to achieving a better league position at the end of the season.

It's always nice to have an excuse and something to discuss, but a lot of this discussion is surely based on the idea that we are playing to the best of our abilities. Having a top player unavailable, or trying a new formation are great talking points in assessing a result, but wimping out is not really that noble, just in my opinion. Certainly, if someone chooses to play a B team in a beta friendly against me, loses, but still claims they are not yet beaten, they won't be getting another friendly against me. It doesn't help me, and it doesn't help my opponent.

Obviously, it's down to you how you use your players, but I wouldn't expect many others here to value or respect your A team if you're too afraid to show it.
