1) I'm not sure why our PL has become a school playground for other managers to come and fart out a pointless conversation. I'm all for good conversation on this forum, even from outside managers, but if you know the kind of managers we have in this PL you'll know we don't want empty messages. Many are here because they don't want 100,000 notifications per day to get to trivial content. If you're from another PL, welcome, but please remember to contribute something. What is going on here recently is the virtual equivalent of strolling boldly into a board meeting in your office, the meeting stopping while everyone looks at you, and you saying nothing but standing there just as boldly. Additionally, please remember we have a very efficient private messaging system which is better for contacting another manager directly, rather than buzzing 42 people to get to one. 2) Can we please try and keep the U-Play sentiments at least civil, if not positive. You know the rules. I don't mid this PL being known as being a bunch of grumpy old men, but let's keep the language suitable for users of all ages. Edited by sicox86 17-11-2014 17:49 |

And now that's out of the way, I think it's of course sad but inevitable that one of the servers had to go first, and there was only really one candidate. From the way the publicity was a year ago you'd think we wouldn't still have the EN server, so I guess in reflection we can be thankful for that. U-Play doesn't "owe" us very much. It's a business, and personally I am amazed at how much of the benefit we are able to get for free. If people's feelings towards the very idea of the EN basic server closing are in any way reflected in how well U-Play benefits economically from the maintainance of the EN basic server it will be open for some time yet. |
