@Horath said: Guys, look at it this way: right now 98% of players have no chance whatsoever to ever make it to div. 1 and/or win the cup, top teams hold monopoly over star players, over best young prospects, over money. They gained that by playing the game right from the start. In the new server, you will all be given this opportunity, to be on top right from the start, to show-off your tactical skills, to actually make it into division 1 and/or win the cup! Competition will be much more stiff and only the best of the best will make it! I'll tell you this - SM was by far the best and most enjoyable back in the days when game was still new, when all the top teams were fighting for promotion places to move up in divisions, when teams were packed with 90+ avg players and you were able to make some gem players by having a bit of luck and dedication to scout and train them. I believe the new server will breath new life into the game, a lot of players who are a bit bored atm will come back, because let's face it - the game's not as active as it used to be and it does and will slowly die, because there's is a cap and more and more people are approaching it. Imo it's a great thing for SM! ~H +1, when I joined the game I knew nothing about it and it took 3-4 seasons of playing the game part time to figure out how to play. Once I finally did I was in a bit of a hole and fighting to move up. Now I know how to play and the new server means a level playing field from the start. Someone who just joined last week has zero chance to make it to div 1 or 2 in the next 10 seasons, even if they did everything right from the start and had excellent tactics. This issue could easily crop up again in the new one, but at worst it won't happen for a long time. Plus with this being on app stores for mobile phones it could actually grow, we could have a division 6 with more players than system bots, and that'd only be a good thing. |

You may think that your GB transfer from current game to the new server is enough. That is incorrect. You've negated or next to not only the money put in, but the time and effort. You should have developed the current server with these new features. Not reset everyone and have them start from ground zero. Edited by Talus 23-10-2013 21:54 "first of all, nothing is negated, at all. This server will continue. You are thinking about this completely illogically." shows your lack of knowledge about development processes. think about any software program, for example, your OS. there are versions that come out that are NOT upgradable, b/c they have started from a new base, usually from optimizations, new technologies, etc. There might even be features built in that could not be ported over. There is no need to attack my intelligence, because I disagree with you. I'm sure there are software issues. That should have been taken into consideration before resetting everyones accounts. The money that was spent by the players is what allowed this new system to be developed and built. Making them start over and have to reinvest if they want to be at the same level they are now just feels like exploitation. I feel this was not the right way of going about it. I know for a fact that I am no alone in my sentiment as other have expressed the same. If the shareholders are more important than the players and those that have spent money on this game, then I know that I will have to consider my future dealing with U-play. (edited to close the quote) Edited by @illex 24-10-2013 16:34 Nobody is getting reset at all. They are simply adding a new server. I'm not exactly sure if this one will get a graphical makeover as well as the new one, but they have determined that building a new server is the way forward for them. This server will still continue to operate. Obviously the problem there is that the people playing this server will slowly go away. I know I'll stay on here for a little while as I go to the new server, but I don't know how long that will be. Think about it this way. You buy FIFA 2012 for your xbox, you love playing online, but then FIFA 2013 comes out, there are still a few people playing 2012, and it's still fun, but slowly you see less and less people on 2012. Then 2014 comes out and there's nobody there. Every company is out to make a profit, and yes unfortunately it can come at a price to the consumer. You wouldn't yell at apple for coming out with a new phone that was better than the one you bought last year, would you? Plus if this server continued on as the server everyone would have 90 average teams and people would be sitting in div 5 wondering why they even bother when finished 6th in the same group for the last 5 seasons. |

I can't do anything with a car, barely put fuel in correctly, that doesn't make me stupid(shut up @bowsey ) again..to re-iterate what has been said multiple times, in this thread and others..nothing is being reset..no one is losing ANYTHING. You have a personal choice...do you want to play a NEW game or not..its that simple. any other argument, complaint or otherwise is superficial and unrelated. |
