Can someone explain to me the logic in selling player because player from 50 nd 50+ avg can be bought for 1 or 2M while player from 60 and 60+ avg are sold around 20+ M and 70 or more the price goes up like crazy
Can someone explain why there is this big jump in price

There's a big jump in price because Cristiano Ronaldo is not on the same level as Eden Hazard. If we could buy 90-averaged players for $1m, I'll abandon this game. 11/10/2013 16:38

You can find 20 average or less players selling for hundreds of millions. The primary difference is the player's progression. Smart managers want high prog players (for the most part - sometimes if not training the position a high avg only is suitable or even preferred).

Also, in terms of training, there are almost "levels". When a stat, say passing, reaches a certain point, it doesn't train as fast. Look at good jrs - high prog jrs with a high prog coach train extremely well. High avg high prog players still train well, but instead of gaining .432 or whatever, they gain .04.

So to grow a player to a high average takes time, and as the old axiom goes, time is money.

supply and demand as players get rarer prices increase, >50av players are abundant hence low price, 90+ players are rare hence high price

About a year ago, you could sell 60 average players for 60 million, 70+ for 150+, and 80 average players were crazy high. Now as more players have hit the market more players have been trained up, and there is just more availability. There is also the aspect of training speed. Up until a player hits 70 average, their training goes pretty fast, so it's somewhat easy to build a 70 average squad. Beyond that it gets a little more difficult, so the prices rise higher. It is a little hard to get your squad average up over certain points, but the best advice to to find high, or decently high prog juniors and train them up.

Simple reason: Supply and demand. In the entire game, there are fewer number of players 70+ average compared to say 50 average players. This rarity makes them more valuable and higher priced. If you think about it, when you start your team, everyone is in the low 40's. These players are considered almost nothing because everyone has them so the supply is higher than the demand. Now, come to players of 70+ average which is much harder to train and find on the market, so their value dramatically skyrockets. Think of the f(x)=x^2. The farther out on x it goes, the higher the y is. So x = average and y = price. Think of it like that. (I've been busy with engineering school so I just had to put something math related.

More complex explanation: Every player has a hidden aspect named as Progression and Forecast. The higher their progression is, the faster they will train and their forecast is the theoretical future average the player will achieve if trained correctly. Rudimentary, the majority of players have a progression of something 80 below and very rarely ever reach their forecast. The gulf in quality is most noticed in players from 60 and below and 70 and above. 60 and below players tend to be 100m and below while players over 70 average price range are quite volatile on the variables of their position, progression, average, and forecast. Once a player hits 70, expect to hit a big gulf of prices difference. This is the same reason from above: it is very hard to find a player of that quality so the price for him is much higher.

This is usually what most people in Div4 and 3 have to worry about the most. To build a team of 70+ average (generally speaking) requires so much more money than making a 60 average team as it is easier to train players to x<60 than to 70+

I read all of your comment but i have to strongly disagree with that supply and demand thing, let me ask you something, have any of you played manager mode in FIFA for example the top players are rare but you will never see a player that cost 300M or plus, further more people be giving crazy salary like 1M tell me one player that you know who makes 1M per week, that thing is so crazy its unreal. The reason why people charge that much for their players is because the admin or the creator of the game created an improper distribution of money and all the money is concentrated among the big teams which is why they sell and buy among themselves, which leaves the other players to endure the pain or just quit the game. My point is for example lets say their was just 1 90 avg player in the game, their is no reason to sell him 1Billion dollar cause then its just unreal 13/10/2013 21:22

I think the thing you aren't understanding is that we aren't dealing in a real currency. Yes, it may say $1 billion, but the devs could just whack three zeroes off of everyone's money balance and it would say $1 million.

The big teams have the money because they've around the longest. They have bought, trained and sold many, many juniors for significant profits, but they have put in upwards of 3 years of work doing it.

There are plenty of good players available for relatively inexpensive prices. 80 average forwards are pretty much below $200 million these days. A few months ago, they were around $350-$400 million.

sometimes i don't really understand why people like to compare this game with "actual real life example"...looking at the market that available throughout the season and any team wouldn't have to wait until specific transfer window to acquire players, will actually tells you how much this game is different from reality....

but that's what makes this game interesting in my opinion...we just have to accept this game as it is and set our strategy accordingly...since the OP is still in lower division as i am, i think there are so many other things that we can explore first before to worry about market price for 70+ av players...seriously, looking at your stadium, i don't know how you gonna pay for high player salaries....
