Do you think this would help make the game more realistic? (This would not be hard for devs to implement)
Yes, prices/inflation is ridiculous
No, i don't like realistic games

And that is all i want to achieve, realistic prices.. nothing else

Fair enough, it'd work for a time, but would be a superficial smoke screen covering a larger issue. You could achieve the same effect by choosing a fictitious standardized currency, SM$ for example.
There would be fewer bugs if you just covered the last few digits of current prices with your finger though, for the same effect!

The value of the good players automatically increase as more people start playing SM.

Still I feel the following values should be changed slightly every season.

1) Stadiums (by increasing ticket cost).
2) Catering (increasing food cost).
3) Store
4) Sponsors, Billboards and TV
5) Staff salaries (increase)
6) Players' release clause (decrease)
7) Stadium maintenance/Renovations (increase)
8) School cost (increase)

You are just moving back by 4 seasons if you take away the money.

Did you even consider that salaries of 80+ players are 1m+. If you add that up the weeklies still remain the same. A lot of teams who have 85+ teams have weeklies of 50-100m. They have huge deposits and almost earn that extra cash needed from the interest they earn every week. Take away their cash and they will end up in red for 2 straight weeks and get reset.

Now you would say adjust the clause to reduce salary, but when you do that most of the times the salary remains same only clause drops by half or less. So there really no way to reduce the weeklies.

A slow but sure way of getting prices down would be slow down the training of the players. Currently, all the managers do specialised training and ignore training the other players because they don't lose their average. But if the players who aren't trained start losing their average, the managers will be forced to follow an overall training pattern and this way it will becoming more challenging to make 85+ avg players. Again, I know this suggestion will be blown away by the top managers who swear by the specialised training programme and will never be in favour of a training method which would mean sacrificing on the monetary benefits. 07/06/2013 08:21

That thread is the answer to your question.

It will take you atleast 8 seasons to get a player from 30s to 85+ average. Im sure you wouldnt want to train the same player over and over for 8 seasons.

As long as it makes the game competitive, I don't mind it.. 07/06/2013 08:40

How would really define competitive?

There are teams already with 85+ average players. Reducing training values wont really affect them that much. But if you look from the point of view of Div 3-5 you will never really catch up to those top teams even if you spend the rest of the SM life trying to train players.

Unless the devs reset the game completely and start all over again only then will the game really be competitive in my view otherwise its useless.

Yea I agree they already have top players and we can't change that. But then if the game has to improve, something has to change. We cannot go on playing in the same unrealistic money-minded approach here. 07/06/2013 10:06

I'm unable to see any flaw in the current system.

You purchase, you train, you sell and then purchase again. This is the whole cycle and it keeps going on and on and with each cycle you get richer and richer. The only difference is the circle in which you are. Old managers are in higher circle and newer are in lower. This is a thing nothing can correct. There would always be new players coming who have to start from the bottom most circle..

And the fact that there are 6 divisions, make it possible that the new guy has time to develop his team till he is ready for the higher battle..
