This is ridiculous, as soon as a manager learns to use tactics to their favor they begin to move the DF lines to run offsides traps. An @ or a dev needs to retweak the sim so that managers who abuse the DF offside traps (ie. having last line of defence at mid field) during a game be penalized w/ red card when the opposing player who does manage to get behind the DF w/o offsides (1 on 1 w/ keeper) & get fouled from behind get red carded! At least make it so that if a "ref" as a tactic every 5 fouls from behind some one gets red carded. | 25/12/2012 20:40 |

I would like to see the in-game players be able to adapt, like trying to stand in onside position, or if they have good passing and/or mental ratings passing to offsides teammates less. |

Offside Trap is meant to make managers mad... Offside Trap- A maneuver in which players in the defending team push up field in order to put one or more opposing players into an offside position. |

I feel your pain bro. I can see more and more teams going for the same tactic. I have no choice but to join the bandwagon just for the sake of fighting fire with fire. I want to see some further developments from the devs next season. Previously, what they did is they slow down the defenders if they move near the centre-line. |

I agree, this offside traps would never happen this way in real life. The soccer rules are still not being enforced properly, it's exasperating. I'm not buying golden balls until this issue is resolved. | 26/12/2012 16:49 |

The entire point is not to adjust your tactics against offside traps, its the lack of enforcement in the game from fouls from behind in a 1 on 1. This will surely change the game in a major way & ensure that managers mind offsides as a tatic not as a gimmick to stall any offensive attack. Changing this is very critical b/c the amount of 1 on 1 chances created by these offsides do not translate to the amount of goals scored or players thrown out the game from these challenges. PLEASE CHANGE THIS!!!! Im suggesting to take an average of those managers implementing this tactic and create a system where every 5th or 6th foul a red card be administered on 1 on 1 fouls. This ensures that teams dont end up forfeiting the game by losing every DF players. Because i am tired of seeing horrible DF catching up to, I think, a great striker & dispossessing them w/o being reprimanded. |
