I think the only way to implement a transfer window ...is to have more than one.Maybe a transfer one of the every 3 months, or something similar to that. Edited by Sender 19-11-2012 18:36 |

What if I get a player injured on a week it's closed and it's a season deciding week, I can't go out and buy a replacement because it's closed, but if it's open next week then someone else can do the same. |

I'm guessing this problem wont only be happening to you.Really what Dr. O wants is a more realistic transfer market so these type of problems should be expected .....or in some way appreciated .....from Dr.O's point of view that is. Edited by Sender 19-11-2012 18:37 |

No I know this would be happening to other people as well, but there would be an inconsistency to it. For example: I'm facing off against two of the top teams in my league and I want a better GK in hopes that it'll help me win. The market is closed though and I can't get one. The next week someone else in my league is in a similar situation, but the window is open, so they're able to buy the player they need. That's why things would be somewhat unfair with transfer windows. The game does a pretty good job of simulating real world scenarios, I don't think every real world scenario needs to be duplicated to a T in the game. |

As illex says, the only fair way to do this would be to have the transfer window open during the off season, which is currently about 6 days long every three months real time. Or maybe have a weeks break during the middle of the season where it opens again. But this isnt football manager, the game already has so many "nuances", im just not really sure i can see this working without a complete rewrite of the game. | 19/11/2012 21:57 |

Yeah im only hypothesizing. Other things need to be looked WAY before this, so there is no real point arguing about it, because im sure its not even an option the developers are considering. Edited by Sender 19-11-2012 23:31 |

I've just come back from the future, the outlook is bleak. Here are some excerpts from my Time Log: Day 1 - Devs announce transfer window tomorrow Day 2 - @s receive complaints that system will not let them sell or buy players. @s respond by telling them that a new update has closed transfers for X amount of time. Day 3 - 99.9999% of players find something else to do. Day 4 - @s destroy suggestion forum Day 5 - Dr Obehioye logs in. Discovers transfer window has been activated and celebrates. Day 7 - All players except Dr O have left. Dr O powers to first place in his Div. Day 35 - Transfer window opens. Dr O excitedly puts his players on auction and waits for bids...
