cmccourt said: Listen, your underlying problem is lack of available high avg players. I see that from your last comment. The name of the game is buying high program DC youths and getting a good youth coach. Constantly upgrading youth. Squad while printing to senior. That's it. This game has no secretes Its such that it takes a while for different people to realize this and others not so much. So in short. Transfer window would devalue the enjoyment of the game. |

Thats when you know dat then money available is to purchase aa wide range of players and not just for only one player But the point is, everyone will have a large amount of money for a wide range of players. The auctions would go through the roof. In division 6, i could theoretically put away maybe 30-40m in a season. My current gate reciepts are around 700k plus 1.5m for my pl, plus say 300k for friendlies. I think that kinda works out to 30-40m over a season. I upgrade my stadium a bit. That leaves me with say 20m in the transfer window to spend and im in div 6. Since i cant buy juniors out of season and i know that juniors are the only way to get anywhere in this game, im going to be looking for juniors. But, and here is the big but, everyone is looking for them too, chances are my 20m will buy me one fc 80 player. I'm happy to have my logic faulted if you can find a hole. Yep. Things would get even crazier as you move up. A division 3 or 4 team with a maxed out stadium can make over 300 million in a season just from ticket sales, division 1 teams almost double that amount. That's a lot of money sitting in the bank or invested in schools to make the rich teams even richer. Not to mention the fact that it'd be so boring. Half of this game is buying and selling players, constantly improving your team and always trying to get better players. If you take that away you only have a pretty basic tactics system, and that'd lead to many people finding better games to play. |

Dr, you probably see all these great players changing hands and i guess i can understand your frustration, thinking "i need gbs to get anywhere near". But ive assembled a pretty good junior squad without using gbs, theres always players falling through the market with names like "fc 85" , "prog 89", etc. that go for pennies. Occasionally i get a duff one, but im paying 200k for him. Honestly, buy highish FC players and train them well. Youll have your own crop of good players. Then invest the proceeds into very high fc players. |

it will give room for manager's to develop their working formations and tactics, and not overdependent on certain players, for example, i want play with a manager of 80+, and i have 50+, he will beat me buh may not be tactically sound. it will limit the chances of buying a player, then using him for one match and putting him up sale. Making it look like a MArket manager game rather than a FOotball manager game |

This is the principle employed in this games, it has an effect in the game system, i can't understand why a player will be hostiled for billions of pound or euros, very amazing, managers like us will spend 10 or more seasons to raise that money, this is unlike a football manager game, we really need to restrict market activites |

Dr. O, I can see what you mean, a 50 average team should be able to beat an 80 average team if they have far superior tactics, and they can but just like real football, even if Manchester United gets out-tacticed by 4th division side, United can still beat the 4th division side since they have the far superior player. Putting restrictions on the market isn't going to do what you think it will. Someone may not be able to buy a 80 average player for one game with your restriction, but they can still buy that player for a season. It really doesn't take long to make a lot of money in this game, and you don't really need GB's. Look at what grantis said, buy a bunch of cheap juniors with decent prog and you may not make billions, but you can then sell those players and make a lot of money for very little investment. Good players with lots of schools will very often sell any player under 75 prog for a million or so. You could probably find a squad of ~75 prog players for under 30 million, train them hard and sell them off after 3 seasons for 20x what you paid. I've paid about 60 millions for all the junior GK's I've purchased to train over the last 3 seasons, and I've made over 100 million already off them, and by the end of the season that number could be over 300 million. If you work hard, you can make a lot of money pretty easily in this game. |
