make a flexibility for Country Rating School, based from the FIFA ranking. The Rate country school will change every new season in striker manager starts, not every months. how do you think? | 15/08/2012 19:56 |

School ratings for each country don't have to be in accordance with that country's real life rating. If the ratings were to be switched now many people will have overpaid/underpaid for their schools. If they were to release new country ratings what they would have to do is re-regulate the prices user by user. For example, I have bought an excellent school in Uruguay (70% quality rating) for 3M. Developers now decide that Uruguay deserves a quality boost after their recent showings and upgrade it 20% to a 90% quality rating. I have underpaid for this school considering other excellent schools with a 90% quality rating are worth anywhere from 55M to 63M (although granted Uruguay's would be cheaper considering their lesser population). So I would have to receive a PM from a developer informing me about their decision to improve Uruguay's rating and give me the option to either pay the difference between what I paid and the new cost, or keep my Uruguay school at 70%. Imagine the work it would be to constantly do this for not one, but 48 (and this number is always expanding) different schools. Considering StrikerManager is run by a small development team and that this would be a time-consuming task, I doubt this will be implemented any time soon. |

Though it could be just run more fluid than that. You pay X for a school and it's rating goes up or down based upon the FIFA ranking. It could be interesting as there may be a little risk involved in the price, so if you buy an England school and they crap out, then you're sort of losing money. The FIFA rankings are updated monthly, so you're not going to see huge swings (except for during World Cups/Euro/Copa Libratadores) and even those swings are maybe 20 spots over a month or two. Looking at the current rankings, the biggest changes in spot are in the smaller countries, so your 20% schools might be the most affected. Personally I think it could add a fun element. However, schools aren't really structured like this right now, since a lot of the price has to do with the frequency that juniors are produced. Not only that but school ratings are more historical. If Brazil had a bad two years you wouldn't suddenly count Brazil out thinking they could never produce another 5 star 14 year old. I think it'd be interesting to insert some form of the concept, but it seems extremely complex. |
