Not sure if it is a dumb idea, but can the dev add this feature? I have found that lots of managers have opened multiple excellent schools and getting very talented players in every 2-3 days. But as it is not possible to give every one a place into the junior team , either they need to discard or to put them on auction with a very low base price. We have the option to demolish a school but the compensation amount is very low. Now if some excellent (read rich) manager wants to get rid of a school and have the option to put the school itself on auction, it will be beneficial for the game infact. New managers who don't have not so much money in their account to open a new good quality school can buy it through auction. And that will be inspiring for new managers to form a good youth squad and with a longer vision. Where for the managers who are demolishing the schools, they will receive better compensation. one potential problem with this is the operating costs. an excellent school in Germany costs 1.4M per week to run. this would almost certainly sink a div6 or 7 user who's regular income barely hits 2M every week when all other expenses are combined. | 09/07/2012 08:43 |

...but no division 6 or 7 team/manager would ever be able to outbid a higher division and higher income team/manager looking for a cheap(er) excellent German school, so this is not a problem. Any school for sale would end up being sold for almost as much as it would cost to build an equivalent school, because any higher and it would be cheaper to build your own and any low bids would be outbid by, again, a higher division and higher income team/manager. I like this idea because it better compensates managers for the initial building cost of their schools and it makes more sense because excellent, profitable* schools would rarely be closed, only sold if the owner needed some extra cash. *producing high prog. juniors not producing money |

Auctioning schools......a new way to help your poor friend by paying lot of money for a school you don't even need Also I see a future where people won't even build schools but will just buy from auction....expenses will be reduced (that is if school from auction cheaper of course)..... Lots of money will flow into the game (and people already don't like inflation with players). Edited by patient 11-07-2012 08:31 |

Oyewale: You're making no sense...and I just explained that the prices would be almost exactly the same so Div. 7/6/5 still wouldn't be buying excellent schools from 100% countries, and they still could build or buy cheaper schools. patient: It would be trivial to force people to direct buy once the price reached full value and to block cheap direct buys to prevent any unfair manager to manager assistance. Therefore, the most anyone could get when selling a school would be the initial cost, and no one could unfairly give their friend a cheap school. In addition, I already explained why the prices would end up being exactly the same, so there would be little reason not to build your own. |

Ah yes, I knew you would say that, here's 3.5 reasons: 1) A new player will be coming out sooner than if you buy 2) Contains good players that the builder has no room for (the direct buy requirement could be adjusted if this is the case) 3) You want another school from that country (requires ability to have more than one school in a country or acquired schools to be kept separately) 3.5) For the more superstitious managers: School has history of releasing awesome players |
