Gonna be real tough for new Div 2 promotees like me. I currently have sort of OK replacements but next season I fear I might have to sell some of them to buy better players. So I don't think I can't really support high effort or very high entry fee but since it is not my decision to make, I'll have to go with whatever u guys think will be good for the Mercs as a whole. | 03/03/2012 06:46 |

The Entry Fees is must (i think), we can have a vote that should it be very high or nominal. 3. @'s should ensure that no team with the ip address issue should be in, although i understand that the issue has been sorted out. 4. No one can takeaway the right of mutual decision between the 2 team regarding effort, but higher the prize money the lesser mutual low effort game. 5. new replacement will be top teams(like ANO) if we have high prize money |

I'm probably going to be a new div 2 promotee as well. The stress is good stress, trust me. We will be stronger through it. As monu says, we'll have to really help one another out. | 03/03/2012 07:48 |

I don't have a problem with high prize money, but we should try and spread the wealth around. I would suggest top 5 places pay. This would encourage better performance for longer as teams sitting below those positions will still be in with a chance of earning something towards the end of the season. I think most of us can afford whatever the entry fee is so I don't think that will be a problem. And I reserve the right to play whatever effort I want in my games. I'm happy to accommodate others if you need to play lower effort for whatever reason. In my case I have a some serious building to do in defense before I'd be confident fielding a B-Team here. And I'll be in Div 3 next season so I'm expecting far more competition there too. The hardest part is the first 3 weeks of the season, there are no breaks between games and it can be very taxing on your squad. I don't usually feel comfortable in the season until about week 4 when I finally get a rest day. I don't care what the prize money is, I will not sacrifice league or cup games for private league. |

@CelloG said: 2 major changes for next season: 1) no more low effort This has been bad for i14. We did not do as well in the cup, because formations/tactics are really different at low effort, among other things. Requiring high effort to win will force everyone to get a decent backup squad, which is also a good thing for both league and the cup. 2) hostling is allowed Time to man up. If you can't protect your players, you don't belong in Div. 2, Div. 1, or in i14! I'll have more news as the season progresses, but these changes are set in stone, and if you can't handle them, just send me a PM and we'll talk about it. 1) Low effort didn't cost us in the cup... I among other people used high effort in cup games. Also effort should be purely down to the people playing like it is in any other game. Pre-match agreements can be made if necessary though. 2) Even with this, I will not hostile any merc players... we're supposedly friends so why not act like it? |

I am fine with hostiling as my players release money is set adequately. To be honest, I wish they hostile my players. However, as Cole commented I wouldn't hostile Mercs. There are tons of teams out there. I think I can run the team without players from Mercs. Edited by lantre99 04-03-2012 03:34 |

I didn't mean low effort in cup games. I meant we didn't have as much experiencing testing full effort tactics in PL games. As for hostiling, I am more likely to just ask but wouldn't you rather have a merc hostile you players with chance of negotiating a return as opposed to someone unknown? In any case, I don't mean to offend. I do think a little spinach and castor oil will be really good for all of us. It's not about anything other than making the game better for all mercs. |

I agree most of us have to work on our backup squads. I wouldn't mind playing my B-Team every week if I didn't hate losing so much | 04/03/2012 03:55 |

NOT to take anything away from lantre99's superior tactics!! It was depressing and enjoyable to watch him shred my efforts. In any case Colebourn, nothing has changed with yours truly, I'm still the same fluffy old ball of nails and broken glass you've grown to love. Come on over here and give me a big hug! |
