This is a suggestion to make manager experience a little real. How about introducing an element for team gelling and formation adaption. Like the more games you play with a core set of player and the more they play in a similar formation, better their game develops. This is well affect they game in most of the areas. Firstly and big thing is the transfer activity might go down and probably the number of players getting hostiles come down too. Managers would not try to develop a team around a core set of players plan for 2-3 seasons and try to develop their replacements. Also it might just encourage people to develop their youth system as it would be more beneficial for teams to promote players from junior squad who are used to play in similar formation as senior team. Players carry an attribute called "experience" This can be useful here too. Like player with more experience will find easy to adapt to new team and formation. Newly transferred players can come as subs for first few games to get some playing time and get used to formation and team just like real life. I might be missing some obvious good or bad points with this. But i guess it would be a good idea to explore this option before accepting or rejecting it |

not bad, but I don't think the transfer market would 'slow down' as you say. If I had a choice, stay with a 30 av CF who has alot of this 'gelling experience' or hostiling a 50 av CF for 2 mil with no 'gelling experience', what do you think id pick? So mabye it would lead people into a false sense of security + people could end up stuck with average 40 teams for season after season not wanting to risk their new player won't gel |

Your suggestion would add another really interesting facet to the game and reflect real life football in terms of the most successful teams have generally been strategically put together over some time and slowly added to (especially in the lower leagues). I'm building a team at the moment and definately have my favourite players who I've kept for some time but at the moment, and when funds allow, I'd dump them for a player who was 5-10 avg better. If I could get that uplift in average by retaining them I would. Your point about it affecting the transfer market is probably just...but I've been scouting it for ages and the players on there are way over priced for their average anyway in my opinion. Good luck |
