quick question - i have a junior player that has a pretty good progression. i temp promoted him to the senior squad and he had over 100% motivation. however, when the temp promotion ended, he went back to the junior squad and (i dont know why) was left out of the junior line up for the next match, dropping his motivation down to 26%. i have unfortunately used both of my temp promotions this season. i can't leave his motivation so low as each day goes by he gets nada for training. should i just promote him to the senior squad, boost his morale with my psychologist, and continue to train him or should i have him wait it out until his motivation increases in the junior squad? both coaches have high % so no major difference in training at either level (although senior is slightly higher). hes good enough to play in the first team for my senior squad now. are their consequences for promoting a junior in terms of progression? |

The trick is to play him in the starting line-up of the last senior game before he returns to the juniors, then he has a motivation of 160% for the following days training. Even better if the junior league game is days away - he just stays at 160% until he plays again in the juniors. So for example, temp promote AFTER your league game on the Tuesday and he returns Friday after the league game (exactly 72hrs) and stays at 160% for 3 trainings, Sat, Sun and Mon. Just make sure you get your trainings right - the Friday training for JUNIORS must match your temp promoted player position, same with Sat and Sun. As for your player now, he will regain his motivation when he plays a junior league game, so dont promote him. Promoting him too early will cause a drop in progression and forecast.
