It's not overpaying.

If you would have raised his salary like virtually every piece of help on here says (as opposed to complaining about how much you have to pay) one of 2 things would be true.

You would have your gk still
You would have enough money to buy a new one And another player or two

Here's what's unbelievable. Rather than go play ibasketball like you said,,, or resign your players as the FAQ said, you complained and did nothing, something no one suggested.

In the first place, I know NOTHING about soccer. The idea of managing a team is the reason why I signed up for this. The same goes for ibasket. This is a new sport for me so I want to get the feel of managing a team.

But with this hostile clause, that would mean anyone can steal players from other teams. If I overpay my players, how am I suppose to save and get out of the red zone? How am I suppose to invest on constructing a new stadium? How am I suppose the climb the division if I'll keep losing because richer teams will just buy my cheap good players?

And as we speak, someone just "stole" my GK because he is young and cheap. I have him contracted for 7 years and someone just bought him out. How can you protect your own players if someone richer will just buy them away from you whenever they want?

This is UNBELIEVABLE.

Come on. Thousands of people can do it and you cant? Something is wrong there!

I guess it's fine. I'm just allowing anyone to get my players. No problem with that now. I've already done my research on which teams I can purchase new players with. I'm inviting everyone to buy my players. LOL.

Again, I don't enjoy soccer as much as basketball since I really have no idea about soccer. The plays, the tactics, even the positions are all blanks to me. At least in basketball, the earnings are smaller so it's hard to purchase a player through hostile clause.. In soccer, it's just different.

Oh well, guess it's just a learning experience for me.

I love the NFL too though, but football (US) fans need to realize that football is the original football. 01/11/2011 15:00

I don't have any super idea about tactics in real soccer/futbol either. But the simulation on here is fairly straightforward, and difficult to master.

All of the FAQ should get you off to a flying start.

Players salaries are not even the 1/3 of the weekly expenses. And you don't have to overpay your players by too much. Check the "similar transfers" in the player's option it will show you how much the player is worth on the market. Then put the player's release clause a bit higher than the average price in the market so that if someone hostiles him, you can still replace the player.
People won't worry to hostile a player that would cost a bit less in the market. And don't worry div3-4 managers (the guys you call rich) won't hostile your players because they are not good enough for their league.

I'm beginning to love the hostile clause, actually... Just received 16M+ on players lost and spent just about 10M to get it back.

The feeling of getting players without other people knowing it, it's priceless.

Please don't remove the hostile clause now.. =)
