Definite fail. My players being trained are only improving very little. These are the same players who were making huge gains in training last season. So unless my players progression was altered the training is not working yet. I know people are going to say I'm wrong, but Id like to think I know a little about how training works in this game... Or how it used to.

How it used to, welcome to a brave new world.

I know not much more than you do. But people complained last season about short careers. This season, long careers will mean slower improvement.

Now it's more realistic training.

Please don't get me started with "realistic". In reality, players get older not every 3 months, but 12 months.

Some of the changes in training system were good. I like rearranged training types and improving different attributes of players in different levels. But... If you want to make training more realistic, then you should start with providing a way to assign different players to different training types. I set saves for today and every player is trained with saves, even midfielders. Why would I want my RIM or CF to training saves? For example, I should be able to assign some of my players to saves, some of my players to ball control and the rest to sprints. Current system is not realistic, not even a bit.

It's only acceptable with higher training rates. I mean, it was...

Same here, now I'm thinking of completely abandoning junior training. The money I save in wages can go into the stadium and eventually return more just to buy in players. I don't mind being hostiled (happened a few times) when I know I can build a good team up and have the juniors up and comming. Now I've nothing to fall back on except the money I've been building up for a rainy day.

don't change anything until trainings are finalized. No need to panic yet

Nope. The developers did not appear at all today, as far as I know. I'm guessing the high-priority right now is all the forfeitures and other bugs that affect immediate $$$ and win/loss now that training is marginally working, and refining training will be fixed next. Just a guess though.

i like new training very much but i read that its easier to get players stats from 30-50 than from 50-70
looking at numbers behind stats i think we will need 4-5 season to get 40 stat to 70
i think its ok but they should multiple training numbers by 1.5 or x2

If things stay the same, you don't even have to scout for high progression. The players with the most $ or those who did the one dimensional training thing last season, win. 07/10/2011 06:17

even i think i should have trained only organize midfielder as the charisma has been converted to passing or other important attributes. this thing has been highly unfair. i wasted my time by training my cfs properly in all trainings. The teams without managers should be offered to new comers without resetting players i think. that will sort out the problem of "Waste of Talent" as pointed out by many. and in any case they are already in our league

Rookie
I've worked out that my 14 year old LDF, who I had intended to keep and train up for the next 4 seasons and then promote to the seniors, will never make. Even with a progression close to 70 (so I was told) he is worthless with such small training gains. I'd have to train exclusively defenders for the next 4 years to get anything out of him, even then he wouldn't be great.

Sorry son it's cheaper to buy a bullet. If you hear a loud bang from behind the dressing room, rest assured the end was quick and he didn't suffer.

Thats good to know!! I'm looking at restructuring my junior feeder system but not until the current crop progress or training is sorted. If not it looks like I'll struggle for 3 or 4 seasons until I can build money and restructure the team around fans and buy in players.
After 2 quick promotions I'm kinda desperate for some new blood which will arrive at the end of this season. Hopefully I can hang on in this league until then. It was depending on my juniors progressing quicker than my older players and overtaking them but the stunted growth means they won't be even good enough for this league never mind helping me progress.
