I've come across numerous managers that for whatever reason are not able to buy GB's.
They love the game and want to improve their team but are restricted in getting great players, improving staff or checking forecasts etc and its frustrating for them. There are some managers out there (and I'm not necessarily talking about myself) that are in a position to help but have no way of doing it.
So I would like to see a golden ball donation system if possible. I cant see how it can detrimentally affect the game and it can possibly mean extra revenue for the developers.

I can always use more...donate to me.

Seriously, though, good suggestion.

Good in theory, but easy to abuse, multiple accounts and such.

Heavy monitoring, more admins to go with this?

Seems like I end up turning every single decent suggestion into a request for more admins... either that or more active admins, I feel like there needs to be more admins on chat or on the forums to help newbies, Bisho needs a vacation

Or just make it official and make him a forum moderator.

Easy to abuse how exactly? Have you actually thought about your statement.

Golden Balls are not players or money, they just give you added features. It does not require any monitoring at all.

Actually I can envisage the following situation:
Currently, Player A has loads of GBs, he can get more cash by taking out loans, which is fairly unsustainable long-term, unless it's invested in the stadium.

Proposed, Player A has loads of GBs; Player B wants some GBs. Player B will buy some players off Player A for a bit more than they're worth in return for some GBs. Player A now has actual hard cash bought by his GBs...

Player transactions will still be governed by the rules of the game, so any transaction involving an inflated price will risk "Economic punishment" or worse.
If its slightly overpriced I'd say thats perfectly ok for Player A to make a minimal amount of money for his GB donation.
It makes it a feature, not a problem.

How many times have you seen a player pay over the odds by hostiling another player? Far too easy to get around the transaction rules.

Edit: corrected to make more sense in the argument.

Agreed. Still dont see how that can affect a GB donation system. Besides in your scenario, manager B is not the one with the big GB's that has to hostile manager A's players. He will have to part with hard earned cash for GB's, so it cant get out of hand really. 19/08/2011 12:12
