The 70s team even made substitutes while the 40s team did not but still lost. The 70s team also has maximum fitness and stamina. To make it more shocking at half time the 70s team was leading 2-0. I was going to keep quiet, but it's been eating me inside to spill the truth. And my peers at striker manager will tell you that I often land in trouble because of my helping nature. So let me tell you the whole story... You see, elf is right, the game was rigged. How do I know? Because I did the rigging. You see, mightyfc's striker Fausto Russo is my neighbour's son. Being a football team manager they look up to me to advance his career. I am very principled that way and I refused to hire him in my team. But since the Covid lockdown started, and I am ashamed to say it:- Mrs Russo, Fausto's mother and I have become ...let's say very loving neighbours. Now you can understand that without any restaurants or flower shops open I had very few opportunities to impress her. So I simply asked the referee to whistle in offsides if Russo's team is losing. That gave him a chance to counter attack and thankfully he could net three goals to win it. I must confess, Mrs Russo was very happy with me that weekend. But credit goes to the young Fausto Russo, as he still scored the goals. I would suggest that you hostile him with a big package as that would rekindle my neighbourly love story. Also please don't tell him anything about this... his father is a boxing champion and I can't even win a fighting match with a 6 year old. |
