You've been in the game since 2013 and you don't know the difference between "Basic and Advanced" tactics. Wow 11/01/2019 19:29

Hey dude!

That's not the correct answer.....

Usingg basic formation is not advisable. Stick to advanced!

Basic formations and tactic are just thrash

That's why your players mostly falls on offsides....

Goodluck.

Basic tactics are where you set up your style of play (man marking v zonal, wide v narrow etc) and also how much effort your team uses. You can also set how high or low your attackers, midfielders and defenders play, which has a huge impact on how the advanced formation works. These are all crucial for a good match performance.

There is no perfect setup as what works against one opponent may not against another. You can can make several basic tactic setups for different kinds of opposition. Analysis of your opposition's previous games and knowledge of your own setups is valuable here.

Advanced tactics are just that and are concerned with how your tactics change during a game. Largely speaking, it is useful for three things - which basic tactics setup to use when, which formation to use when and which substitutes to use during the game.

You can engineer a match so you play one setup for the first half, for example, and then switch to a different style of play in the second half. Alternatively you can switch setups at different events in the game, e.g. when you go a goal behind.

You can do the same as the above with formations, but be sure that your formations don't put players out of position.

Lastly you can use advanced tactics for substitutions, again either at a certain time in the game or after a certain event.

As for beating the offside trap, I wrote this a while ago. See Tutorial 2:

Good luck.
