Imagine yourself @OP, that you are looking for a defender and has budget let say £2bn, and a defender is on auction with 92% at £9m. Viewing the squad of the team topping the auction, it got about 5 defenders with minimum of 95%, and when you ask the manager to leave the player for you he agrees and ask you to action above his highest price tag. And all of a sudden striker manager tell you can't auction because its 2 min to the deadline, how would you feel? You might want to hire the player, but his release cause is set at £99bn, a price you can't get even if all your team is auctioned, what will you do? let it go and lose because of a man down.
