He never said managers will make a profit by only taking loans and not loaning out or making some form of investment. You keep confusing opportunity cost as a real loss of profit. Every decisions we make has an opportunity cost. Even that player you bought for 500M and sold for 1B could hv an opportunity cost if at the time you bought him there was another player being sold for 400M then resold for 1.2B. It's only a real loss when your revenues from a transaction are less than your expenses. |

I think it will be totally wrong to remove loan from this game, or modify it to a short term loan. I do agree that a measure should be taken to make managers keep to their promise. 2 managers from my PL create a kinda of database where manager can report other managers that they loan to, and rate such manager based on the performance. Another thread to explain how it really work will be proper. I have been a while in this game to know that loan is a very important aspect of this game. When I was in div5, div4 and part of my time in div3, I do take in loan 3 max (eam, brez, wale et al can testify to this), it help me a lot to get hold of this game and be competitive. It never stop me from developing my squad. I train all my def and dfm to my taste ( I take pride in them). I do not need to take any loan anymore, as I am self sufficient. And now I loan out 90+avg player 3 max out to up coming managers every season for the past four seasons, so they can compete at same time try to develop there squad. I never consider lower managers that take loan as slaves, but a necessary step to develop their team. Any manager who lacks forsight in develpment of his team will still fail to do so even without loans. It is all about planning. |

Better solution.. One can terminate a loan clause at the middle of the season.. The loanee or the loaner can do that.. |
