Haha! Yeah, gone are those days! In my little opinion, I think many of the managers who made auctions a big warfare and made it really interesting have left the game. Even though this is not a major reason, I think it also has its part to play as well. Before, there were a lot of junior farms training all positions. At the moment, it's hard to find a farm of wingers and goalies. No one places premiums on juniors again. Everyone wants to compete and obtain promotion.
