The answer is 'yes it can be good'. Once a wise manager told me to buy young promising players for the positions I wanted to train and old skilled players to fill the team. Having a player with many skills is a really good strategy, however you must be good in managing your expenses since these last type of players generally request high salaries. I think that a good strategy would be to buy 31-32yo players at the beginning of the season and sell them before the season ends, so not to lose money because they grow old. It is just a thought I made some time ago |
