was looking at my defensive players and realised they have 40(ish) defensive points with 90(ish) ball steal stat... So I took a look at higher division teams and their defenders....don't you find this funy? http://en.strikermanager.com/inicio.php?accion=/jugador.php%3Fid_jugador%3D10124996 A CDF with almost 80 attacking points and below 50 defensive points...LMAO! The question is, how on earth is the system made that all defenders have higher attacking points than defensive ones? Its ridicilous. Also, would additional skill or two made this more balanced? And finally, do these stats have influence in games, or is it just trained skills that are in code parameters? Thanks |

Thanks They probably take a particular set of stats under those defensive points, offesnive points, mental and physical...and Ihave a feeling that SAVE stats contribute to the defensive points and that is why,all the players except goalkeeper have more offensive point than defensive point. Its what i feel cuz save stats cant be included in mental or physical or offensive points and since they are usually zero for players other than gk, the defensive points end up being too low. |

Alright thank, I am just curious. Do you or anyone think these stats (defensive/ofensive points) are included in match engine and are influencing a behavior of players or do you think only trained skills do that? It would explain pathetic behavior of defense most of the time. |

In fact 50% of the defensive points are for saves and the other 50% are for defensive abilities In the link of the star CDF you provided he has 49.50% for defensive points Also check this star GK he has 99% saves and 49.45% for defensive points meaning Saves are part of the defensive points criteria. http://en.strikermanager.com/inicio.php?accion=/jugador.php%3Fid_jugador%3D15992396 Even if this will affect the defenders abilities.. everyone would have the same problem and no one would have an advantage over the other, So it doesn't matter. "Defensive points" is for all players (except GK) "ball steal" divided by 2. So "ball steal" is the only parameter that defines "defensive points". I guess it's the same for" saves" and GK's. BTW, "Offensive Points" is the mean value of "pass" + "shots" + "dribbling" |

And that is not a smart observation anyways. I dont think this game biases b/w player positions when it comes to def/off points or whatevr points which makes sense. |

I never said the game biases anything, I just stated where (I think) the percentage next to "defensive points" come from. |

Defenders have 0 saves so there defensive points have to come from ball steal whereas gk have 0 ball steal so that comes from saves fr them. Why would you do this?? Restart an old thread to state the obvious? |

Restart an old thread to state the obvious? Why are you so upset by my remark? I was just trying to help... Would you please stop being so pedantic? I only read this tread today. A tread that was started last week Wednesday and was still on the first page of the doubts and questions forum, which is NOT old, imho. So, to conclude, defensive points = saves/2 or ball steal/2. And yes, I replied again on this OLD tread, so I'm sorry but you'll probably have to cry yourself to sleep tonight... And btw, you're not an @, so it's not your job to point out which posts are stating the obvious or which observation is not smart. Edited by Wikkarl 08-06-2015 19:25 |
