Yubix said: Hahahahahahahhah. So you do get a trophy in private league eh? Lolz..A private league that once finished you can't even see your standing... Lolz. Trophy is word. Trophy If you check your career you will see the position you ended in, including league, PL, and cup. If you login on PC you can see the trophies you have won - as in an image. There is a max number of trophies shown. Here is my trophy from winning my Div 4 group. http://prntscr.com/6eijws Here is my mates trophy from winning our PL last season. http://prntscr.com/6eikic Or did you think Uplay would pop a real one in the post for you? If you check Arsenal's recent career or more appropriately Arsene Wenger's recent career, well you would find out he has won three(3) Emirate Cups since 2007 and yet everyone says until they won the FA cup last year, that Arsenal hasn't won any TROPHY simply because the Emirate Cup is a warm up competition, it is absolutely "useless". In the same vein, the Private League is simply to generate extra revenue and probably give experience to bench warmers, the "trophy" you pointed to in the private league is as "useless" as the Emirate Cup. Who talks about the Emirate Cup? Who boasts about winning a "trophy" in a private league? What pedigree does it add to a manager? Do you brag about winning a private league? You see, what the suggestion here talks about is about a chance of winning a TROPHY with value like the SC by creating one for a group of Divisions, though I know the technicalities involved would make it difficult, well thats why it called a suggestion. I never for once thought Uplay would pop me a real trophy but at least Uplay can give me a platform to have the fulfillment in having a chance to win "not a real one" but one with VALUE just like the guys who are in division 1 |

What is the UEFA? A private league separate from teams home nation league? But only for the top teams from each home nation's top tier. So SC should be only the top four teams in Div 1 down to the top 2 teams in Div 6, if we equate each SM Div to a separate nation? Or we can add a lower SC similar to Europa league where we add one or two spots for runner's up? Sounds very complicated for the dev's. Wait. Let's just go with the better RL example, the English FA Cup. Open to all, single elimination. Sounds like the SM Cup. Perhaps we suggest that English Football Association create a second tier FA Cup for their lower division teams and exclude them from the original FA Cup. Wait. If we did that and did the same thing in SM, create a second tier cup....wouldn't that carry the same sort of "hasn't won any TROPHY simply because the [SM Div 4-6 cup]...is absolutely useless?" |

You sure know how shift the goal post to suit your argument...seriously! Bro the person who gave a suggestion said there should be cup games running for Division 1 to 3 and another Division 4 to 6. There is no ambiguity here, this simply plain and simply. Nobody said about choosing the best teams as its applicable to UEFA competition. Again when you bring the FA format in here (Real Life), you forgot at once that Bradford thrashed Chelsea some few weeks back, Fulham got to the Europa League finals, Wigan beat Manchester City to win the FA Cup etc, in the real world there are always chances of major upset, definitely not seen a Division 4 in the SC finals against a Division 1. Again the FA cup consists of BPL, Championship, League One and League two, please tell me those involved in the SC competition? Division 1 (how many leagues and how many teams?), Division 2 (how many leagues and how many teams?), Division 3 (how many leagues and how many teams?), Division 4 (how many leagues and how many teams?), Division 5 (how many leagues and how many teams?), Division 6 (how many leagues and how many teams?). Does this SC format sound like the FA Cup format to you? The most appropriate comparison would be all the leagues in the world coming under one umbrella, lining up to play each other at random and playing for a Cup, that is what the current format of the SC cup looks like at the moment. So what is wrong in suggesting that we have a different league, where the margin for success is high, where you get to win a valuable cup, and not private league? The cup wont be a second tier cup, because Divisions 1, 2 and 3 has theirs and so does 4, 5 and 6. You qualify for it base on your division and unlike how the Europa league is been diluted with knocked out team from Champions League joining, here everyone with their own cup competition. Once again, not everyone who wants success (quick or slow) is desperate, am not, so quit telling me to have patience, because patience is a virtue I hold dear but that does not mean patience cant be a vice as with everything in life, there are positive and negatives to anything. A Nigerian adage says that "It is patience that makes the slaughtering of cattle easy for the butcher". Soon enough I ll meet you in Division 3 |

My response Yubix was simply to your changing of reasons. The thread was not yours, people responded, and the original poster said thanks for the explanation. Then you jumped in and asked why. A reason was given regarding financials and arguments that many managers would make that SM is being separated into brackets where the richest teams continue to get richer i.e. Div 1-3 teams sharing home game revenue to the detriment of Div 4-6 teams. And it would be a valid argument. You then shifted to the lack of a real trophy, arguing that the word trophy is the trophy which implies you don't login over PC very often or look at career stats. It was pointed out that private leagues give trophy's and that there is a trophy icon. You shift again arguing it isn't a real trophy because it is a private league (isn't that what UEFA is - hence the analogy) - this leads to the argument that a Div 4-6 trophy isn't real either. You don't like what you're hearing so you post what you have above, writing an adage clearly designed to argue against patience. Hopefully I'll see you in a cup match next season, at my home, so you can earn some decent revenue. And with that, I close. |
