Well for Arsenal it is not a good deal, but at least they won't be paying his salary till the end of the season. A.W. should have started him many more matches and let him play in his favourite position. He was often out of position. Maybe at Inter Milan he will have better luck even if it is a cursed team...they always destroy good players (apart from Mourinho's time). | 03/01/2015 16:19 |

Podolski is a lazy player. Podolski cant defend. When a player is playing from the flank he suppose to know how to defend. He cant get chance in Arsenal because of Sanchez and welbeck. Both sanchez and welbeck has good workrate than podolski. Podolski cant play as a striker because he doesnt has positioning. That is why arsenal dont play him always. Take a look at his national team. He is not a regular starter. Podolski can only play regularly in small team. He's certainly done something right over the years. The reason he isn't a regular in the Germany team is because he has Reus and Gotze ahead of him who are both world class and better than Podolski ever was, it's not down to work rate. |

I'd just like to point out the fact he has 121 caps for Germany and is their 3rd most capped player in history. Oh and he's also their joint 3rd top goalscorer. So yeah... The reason he isn't a regular in the Germany team is because he has Reus and Gotze ahead of him who are both world class and better than Podolski ever was, it's not down to work rate. To say the fact Gotze and Reus shouldnt have bench poldi because poldi is an experience player. He has played alot for germany. But we cant compare his old days football to his present football. Poldi is now lazy maybe because he getting old. Let assume you are the manager of Arsenal Fc and you have Poldi, welbeck and Sanchez and you have a formation of 4-3-3 to play with. You must play two wingers and a striker. We all know that Poldi cant play as a striker. Among welbeck, sanchez and Poldi who are you going to choose as your Left winger. |

I personally would have Sanchez and either Podolski or Walcott (When he's fit) on the wings. Welbeck works hards but he offers next to nothing in terms of goals and assists, so i've never been fully convinced with him. Obviously it would all depend on who you're against as to the type of player you would need in that position, but that's just my opninion.
