Here we are with the final league tables for C1 and A1 at the end of a great season in many ways. I don't have time to mention everyone, but I will stop along the way at some of the achievements, and you may also be able to pick out some more: C1 A1 Starting with C1, I am very proud to be the first manager to retain the C1 title. With the back-to-back trophies, FC Kylle also lays down some other gauntlets for future challengers to aim to beat. 92 goals scored is a new record in C1, along with a record GD. In addition, 75 points is the most points attained by any C1 team ever, thanks to what is also a record number of wins. FC Kylle leaves the PL with the following finishes, from S13 to S17 - 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 1st, 1st. With a fantastic 2nd placed finish, Klopp's Vitoria team takes the highest ever finish from a newly promoted club. A previous champion, Fortuna, sets down another truly respectable finish, while Kelme's rise up the table to a prize finish will leave others wondering if a top 4 position is out of the question next season. Brazuca started well but ended inconsistently, While VIPER's late switch to a super defensive mode of play did only harm to their chances, despite comfortable avoiding relegation. Ali's Bayern set down another mediocre finish given the talent on show, but their own defensive performances have already become the stuff of PL lore! At the lower end of the table, BLACKBERRY take the unfortunate accolade of being the fist team to be relegated on points rather than violations, while @vgates' FC Nori become the first admin-run team to be relegated, despite scooping the 2nd prize. More records were sent tumbling in A1, courtesy of a thoroughly dominant FINAL SOUND outfit, managed by Whatamidoing here. FINAL SOUND stomped to a first ever 100% winning season, and registed the 3rd highest number of goals scored from any group, and the 2nd highest ever GD from any PL group ever. Whatamidoing here has, no doubt, his mind set to beat many of the records we've seen in C1 this season. ROCKPOOL notch up their 2nd promotion to C1 and will be hoping to stay there for good, while Lombok and LiverKop finally win promotion to C1. This will be sweetest for Lombok, whose single violations late in each of the last 2 seasons have cost them promotion and prestige at a far earlier juncture. Best of luck to all the A1 teams on the way up. Up The Irons put in a strong showing, and can be very proud of their 6th place finish, but Midnight Rockers' strenghthened side did not quite register the points expected this season, and will be looking for a better showing next season. Ciudad de La Habana's 10th place is a solid testament to their good violations record, and their all-too-often Div 5 tactics will improve a lot next season with the education Div 4 will bring. LEVANTE, despite a million name changes, could not shake off the early violation punishment, nor could their excellent loan strikers carry the rest of the team due to tactics which did not take enough advantage of the attacking options available. KBC and AC are no strangers to this end of the naughty list, and we hope their consistency of effort can soon be as good as some of the great perfomances each has pulled out this season. Congrats to all prize-winners, and in particular to those promoted to C1 next season. Best of luck too all in the future. My work as PL admin is now over. Thank you all for the last 5 seasons, it's been great. "And now his watch has ended". |
