As you can see, _eterno_ won the bid. I haven't mailed eterno yet but given his history of hostiling and what he is willing to pay, my guess is he max bid somewhere between $75m and $150m. Klopp's max bid was $3m. I bid on that player when I woke up in the am and saw him in my GB search of 92prog+. I woke up about 2min before the bid closed and was outbid by eterno right before it ended. Klopp didn't have a chance with eterno in the mix.

Anyone doing a GB search will find those players on auction. Xuthe bought this player for $0 yesterday.

That player was also in my 92+ search. I suspect he was much higher since it was Xuthe bidding but if I had bid on that player I would have been full at 25jnrs, unable to keep trying to hostile the 92+ RDF that was eventually resigned before I could get him, and I had a 91+ RM that at that point had been on auction twice without a bid - so I wasn't going to take a chance on him.

There has never been any rule here about auctions. I have been pushed out of many auctions by PL mates, often by Rockpool who often seems to have his eye on the same target but always has more money than me. Ali, ronnie, and Si have all outbid me before. I have no complaints - may the manager who wants and can afford the player win. It only helps the seller and the rest of us as well. The more low bid all player sale auctions there are, the lower the player prices and the lower the market for the juniors you eventually want to sell.

As for JNK's complaint, I am a bit shocked. There have been several times, before and after he was in this PL, that he has message me privately asking me not to bid on a player that 'he really needed.' I was a nice guy about it and dropped out. But of my own volition, not by any PL rule.

As some of you know, being an @ carries some cost. I cannot make a T/A without approval and that T/A must be within market limits. I went out of my way to secure a lower than market beginning auction cost for the LW that JNK is selling to T.Mayor. The player went unsold and I had to argue that to my peers to get a lower starting auction price. JNK has now sold that player for a slight profit. Good for JNK and good for T.Mayor. That player was priced higher than the T/A but was allowed to be sold at the lower price because of the auction I had for that player.

I think I have been a good PL mate and a good friend to JNK. I understand his disappointment at the auction because of his misperception about the PL rules but frankly am disappointed at the public outcry.
