For example, lets say your team has fallen below 11 active players do to injuries. I am in a race for promotion and the difference between 2nd and 3rd place for me is goal differential. My opponent in 2nd place played you last week and scored 5 against you. You had injuries since then that put your team below 11 active players. My team is much stronger than yours and I expect to score a lot. If the match is suspended, I only receive 3 goals and I do not have the opportunity to score more like the 2nd place team did a week before in this example.

It is rare that this happens, but if it does you would receive notification before a reset occurred. This makes it fair to all managers.

That said, this didn't happen in this case.
