Done.

Not everyone gets an actual game in the first round of the cup, so sometimes people do unfortunately miss out on cup revenues.

Maybe at first, but long term maybe not. You get 50% of home revenue in the cup vs 10% in friendlies. Now sure you can play all your friendlies with div 2 teams and make 2m per vs 1m v div 6 teams in cup, but eventually the div 6 teams go away and you're playing better teams and the cup becomes more lucrative.

It obviously varies from person to person, and since you're newer to the game it's different than my setup, but here's how it played out for me last season. I had 18 friendlies and 7 cup games. I made 62m from my cup games, and 37m from my friendlies. Which is 9m per cup game and 2m per friendly.

Obviously I am in a different situation than you as you're more likely to make more from a cup away game than a home game, but a single cup game for you at a div 1 side would get you about 15-18m, or 10m against a div 2 side which it would take 5-9 friendlies with div 2 or 1 sides to make back. No matter how you break it down, once you get past the div 6 teams and bots in the cup, you're poised to make more money, and this has pretty much always been how the cup has been, you always want to reasonably stay in the cup as long as possible.
