I suggest that age should not be a factor in retiring an hall of famer. So long he has obtained 10 hall of fame points, he should be inducted into the hall of fame. A player mustn't be old for him to hang up his boots because hall of fame is just like a recognition that a player has played well and his contributions might be needed in other sectors of the game. | 22/08/2014 09:33 |

That's Messi and RL but this is SM. If an SM player starts his career at 14 and ends at 27. That is not a bad career to me so long he played well for the 13 season. So if the club believes he has more to contribute off field, call of his playing career and make him a staff of the club. | 23/08/2014 09:13 |

Remember Seedorf was still playing when he was given the job to coach Ac Milan which forced his retirement. Ryan Giggs would have been playing if not for the job of assistant coach he was given. 14? What victories did he achieve at age 14? At age 14, you will be in SM farmhouse till somehow 18 before you can somehow get a first team football so i still say no to your suggestion. | 23/08/2014 09:19 |

How old is Messi now nd compare what he has achieved to other legends still playing, you would find out that age does not determine your personal achievement. Messi has played not more than 10 seasons but he has achieved more than a player who played for 18-20 seasons. So age doesn't matter. | 23/08/2014 09:27 |
