been playing for 4 weeks today, if any experienced players want to answer the below questions or/and take a look at my team and see any things i am doing wrong it would be greatly appreciated(5mill in the bank, 2 schools- low costarica high NZ, 1 extra stand ). I have been messing about wit training but am not sure whether to run the youth team like an actual team, or to specialize in a particular position? do player prices rise/fall/stay same at the end of seasons? what do I have to be aware of when i get to 8000 pts? (and also is there anything beyond lower wages i am not currently exploiting while <8000? ) any advice welcome Edited by mr_euskaltel 14-08-2014 20:09 |

First if you haven't read the FAQ, do so. Second, you can search the forum for many of the answers. It can be a bit difficult to do but you get better results if you search within a specific forum such as Doubts and Questions rather than Any forum. Schools: you will find a lot of information about schools and opinions as to which is better or whether any are good at all. But at 4 weeks experience, I would suggest you not build anymore schools. Focus on your stadium instead. Junior squad: focus on one field position such as def, mid, or striker. Look for players that are 85 prog or higher and as young as possible. Market: some would say it is constantly in flux, others would say it is in consistent decline. In general, at the beginning of the season there are many players for sale from teams that the manager has quit so the first two weeks can be difficult to sell good value players. Middle of the season is good and at the end of the season manager seem to tend to sell off excess players, which can be good for new managers as you can get good value. 8k experience: until you reach 8k experience, you are protected from having any of your players hostiled. The minute you reach 8k, other players can hostile your senior players by paying the release clause as well as juniors that you have not resigned (have an (R) next to their contract). Check the similar value of your players and set your release clause higher. Good luck and welcome! Bring in some new managers to play as well! |

thanks a lot, that was very usefull to me. i read all the faq's they were pretty good but far from complete. am i missing something with seeing progression? when i click on the progression tab in a player it tells me 'To show the forecast and progression you need to activate it using the button Forecast.' I couldn't see that button so was assuming that i couldn't see it until 8000? or else where is the button located? |

I couldn't see that button so was assuming that i couldn't see it until 8000? or else where is the button located? Don't click the progression button 150GBs button on the squad page. That is a huge waste of GB's. It only shows past training. The forecast and prog button - the 10GB button - on each individual player will appear after you get to 8kexp. After spending the 10GB's (per player) the forecast and prog remains active for 7 days. The prog of the player will not change unless you keep the player after his 19th birthday (a Red P appears) so you do not need to keep checking FC and Prog. Just write it down on a spreadsheet. The forecast is a theoretical maximum given position specific training everyday over the course of the players career. FC changes over time, but the prog remains the same as long as the player doesn't remain a junior after his 19th birthday. Each day a player remains a junior after their 19th birthday, they lose 1 point of prog. |

Damn vgates answered everything. Adding something to the already perfect answer, try to watch higher division games and play like the best. Master the advance formation before you hit divi 4. Goodluck and enjoy the beautiful game |

Master the advance formation before you hit divi 4. Goodluck and enjoy the beautiful game ty, the adv formations was one of the main reasons i started playing, but is hard to develop them when i'm in a league with no other real players(other newbies - i shoulda been more selective with the private league i joined) and in friendlies i think they play zero effort so they're no use either really. I watched a couple high league games, seemed like strength in the middle is paramount and tactics minimised? but i wont be in those leagues for 6 months at least so i can enjoy myself 4 a while before i get to there.
