If you want to hold on, fine, but suggesting the closure of the transfer market is not the answer. Like many, many others, I train a certain position. I have also seen my sales go down compared to what I could expect a couple of seasons back. This blow has been softened greatly by the ease with which I can buy good players in other positions. You'll just need to adapt to the market as it is, just like everybody else. |

You would probably have to train a player for 3-4 seasons to balance the books, if you are lucky enough to get a decent progression player in the position you train. Maybe slowing down progression of players may be better weather it be on a whole, or after 40/50 progression slows down more, or all youths from schools starting from 0. Another idea could be a compatibility factor, where players need to look for players that are compatible with their team instead of fitting like a glove. Obviously you would have to have players from schools already compatible with your team. Could newly signed players take longer to adapt to playing with a new team, or take a temporary skill reduction which is gained back after so many games played. If i think of anything else i will start new thread . |

Palefox said: No. We have less managers and more players w/ +avg. The games not getting adjusted to suit a few peoples need for higher profits. This is correct. I've been here for more than a year, 5 seasons so far. Every season, similar complaints about the market. And of course it is all the systems fault, not anything of the managers own doing. Schools, jnr farming, training, hostiling/buying and reselling, all of these money making tactics require more new users. Div 1 sells plays to Div 2 mgrs, who sell to Div 3 and so on. The fewer new lower division managers to sell too, the less demand there will be. That may not translate into lower prices at all levels of the market but it will translate into less sales overall. What we need is more new managers. Anything that makes it more difficult for a new manager to succeed, like getting rid of early season player sales just to prop up mid level managers sales, will reduce the number of new managers and hurt overall sales. You want the market to improve? Help new managers, get them hooked, maybe they bring their friends here, give them an old formation that you have that helps them compete... |

Sounds a bit like what a good Ponzi scheme needs too succeed, a constant infow of new peeps Humor aside though the situation people are experiencing is mostly the aggregated affects of schools and farming as vgates correctly noted. Everyone in the game and then some have a few schools. The past year when eventually the massive number of most these good players which finally reached to a high av.% flooded the market, caused a plummet in prices and continuous deflation thereafter. In addition, I too feel there are less players in the game than maybe two years ago, but have no official info from the @mods or devs to confirm that, its just a general impression based on the overall sense of "game activity" etc. So more and more supply, less demand, drive prices to the bottom. What can we do about that? First of all let me say that I do not see the point of intervening in the game. The market prices WILL turn around again, although that is not necessarily a good thing. Just search about "inflation" in the forum and see how many complains users had about the relentless increase in prices a while ago. Now we are at the opposite point of the "business cycle" My humble suggestion for those who have lots of schools would be to simply to get rid off your sub 80% schools asap. Keep training your best lads and reduce the amount of junk players put on auction. Btw, on the topic of new user challenges, its incredible with how little £££ one can built a senior squad with a little bit aged but super competitive 75-80% players, go up the divisions, whilst training 80+ progression youngsters which one can get for peanuts.
