Thank you for the quality of you reply

I didn't say my team's tactics are perfect, they weren't when I used to beat teams way stronger than me having way less better players than I have now. My problem with the developers is that they don't comunicate with us, the minor tweaks that are doing to the sim are actually ruining it.

As I said before, a few days ago it's been 3 years since I joined Striker Manager, I'm used to it changing again and again, but up to a point the changes were for the better of the game and bugs have been worked on, now it's not the case, the game is getting to a point that you can't predict the result even if you outclass the other team in every possible way...

As for the part with the GK, what's the use in investing in a good keeper then? Why use a keeper when you could put a libero (for the old school guys) that can act like one, if it doesn't matter? Isn't this a weird thing? (Btw, I complained about this problem a lot in the past)

And don't get me wrong, I like the game's unpredictability, but up to a point, where the game gets really absurd...

One more thing, do you think it's fair for a farming team to use so many attacking or whatever players and still to win it? It's just absurd!

I'm not a sore looser, but after so many years of playing it and even investing some money in the game (few, but it adds up in the end), I just want a bit of respect and transparency...

Thank you for you reply again

I watched a bit of your game and here's what I saw

1. Your defensive positioning was a little out of sorts at times, it was easy for him to get behind your players and in on goal because you were chasing after him.

2. His defensive positioning was really good and he was in front of your players quite a bit, meaning they were blocked from taking quality shots when they were in front of goal

3. I saw at least 3 shots by your players from the left and right edges of the 18 yard box. Meaning you had at least a few bad quality shots.

4. akleb is right, GK average is only a small factor in your defensive prowess. I accidentally played with a 29 average GK on Friday and only conceded one goal, and that was clearly an error on the GK's part (the GK didn't get close to the ball. If GK average were important I would have conceded on almost every shot on goal the guy had. A low average GK can still hold his own with a decent defensive formation.

Comparing your two teams I'd be willing to bet that over the course of the season you will finish better than him, and you might even beat him 4 out of 5 times, but he was still able to pull off a key win against you. If you're using the same tactic you used in Division 2 (2 seasons ago), you probably need to refresh some things as slight changes in the sim can cause formations to need tweaking. I was doing pretty well last season up until a certain point, then I started losing pretty bad, I figured out my problems and was able to fix them, and turn things around a little bit, but in the end it wasn't enough. You need to constantly make sure your formation is rock solid.

And yes, I can complain about the sim when I win too, this own-goal thingy happened twice already this season, is it so hard to fix this bug?
