There's an Intra-PL clash today as my FC Kylle take on Chapla's The Cardiacs. http://en.strikermanager.com/liga.php?id_liga=70494 It puts me in the rather undesirable position of possibly ending The Cardiacs' spell in Div 4 today, should my team win, and Millonarios avoid defeat in their relegation battle, or if MALIGNO TEAM can do me a big favor by taking all the points from BENFICA. Unfortunately, I need the win so I won't be pulling any punches today as I close in on my first Div 4 title, my 4th in total. My sincerest apologies to Chapla if it is indeed me who delivers the knockout. Best of luck next season. |

As for how my season is going, I really can't have asked for too much more from my team. After being handed a Div 2 side in R2 of the cup last season, I was looking to go further again this season. Unfortunately, I was unable to get further again this time around, losing on penalties after going 2-0 ahead against an equally-matched team. In its own way, the PL has been responsible for 2 of my 3 defeats this season. I was hammered in the first game, hands down, against Ali's German destroyers. It has been my only loss in the PL so far, in a season dominated by poor finishing and a low goals tally. Still, I am happy to be well and truly in the battle for 3rd against some damn tough competition. Congrats to everyone there, from 1st to 14th, for such a high level of fairness and competitiveness. The real shining light has been my performance in the league. The same strikers who couldn't hit a donkey's backside with a frying pan in the PL have contributed to my team having the highest GD in the league. Just a single loss, where I was playing PL tactics against the 2nd-placed team until 60mins, and very nearly could have snatched something, has helped my team to 1st place in the league against some really strong teams at the top. It's still too close to call, although thanks to my superior GD I should be able to draw a game and maintain a promotion spot. I only have one or two tough games remaining, so I will be there or thereabouts in 6 games. Whatever happens this season, I will be looking to reduce my reliance on senior loan players, whose services I am extremely grateful for. I feel it is now time for my own defenders to shine, though I will be looking for a little more support in the LDF/CDF positions if the right player comes around. I will also be on the lookout for a slightly younger, yet still experienced midfield. Best of luck to everyone fighting for promotion, against relegation, or trying to establish a solid platform upon which to improve. |

I still feel a little like I might be delivering a knockout punch in a bout that was probably almost decided on points anyway. Or the final nail in the coffin. Or any other analogy! Anybody else, I wouldn't min, but Chapla is one of us. I don't hope for anything other than a win, but it will be bittersweet. |

The FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 commences tomorrow with the opening match btw the host, Brazil & Croatia. Interestingly, the day for the FINAL match actually coincides with my birthday (JULY 13, 2014). Then i'll become 19years Old... Still, im much optimistic of having a greater day(13th July) with an interesting FINAL match fixture... Haha Big Dream*** |
