Hi, I keep having two issues with my formations/tactics (maybe players as well) that I can't seem to figure out how to fix: 1) My CDF is *constantly* moving too far out from the goal in my own end of the pitch. Every time there's a push towards my goal, the CDF is so far outside the box the opposing CF can usually walk right in on the keeper. The LB/RB do not push this far forward unless they're chasing an opposing player or the ball. I have my Defense slider pushed very far towards "Man-to-man" -- might that be the issue? Is "Zone" a better option, generally? 2) I have my formation set to try to keep my forwards at or behind the ball to avoid offsides. However, when either my LF or RF get the ball near midfield and have a clear path to run towards the opposing goal, they almost always stop, turn around, and pass the ball back to the defense. Why would this happen? I am guessing the positional slider for FWD? Does that affect actual positioning or behavior (i.e., does it make them more aggressive or just move them up the pitch?). Sorry if this is tl;dr. These two things are driving me insane & I didn't want to spam multiple topics at the forum... :/ -b |

try moving the CDF down half a square on advanced formation and maybe pull the defenders slider back on the tactics screen a little bit. again do the same for the forwards, not to much as you don't want to go offside |

also high zonal marking can drag defenders further out | 19/02/2014 01:53 |

Thanks for the feedback! I usually keep the marking slider almost all the way to Man-to-man -- does Zonal really move players out of position more than Man-to-man? Based on this morning's result, I think my most serious problem is that my players just aren't nearly good enough yet... |

No, zonal generally keeps players where you put them in your formation. My PL ran half a season of testing M2M at different levels and extremely high level seems to have unpredictable results. Try about 10-20% from zonal and see if that helps | 20/02/2014 00:09 |

Ah OK, I assumed that's how zonal would work. Do you mean 10-20% from full zonal? So on the left side of the slider, but not quite halfway towards the middle? I'll try in my friendly tomorrow. |
