What do you do now? and do you have educational background in It programming? Info you have provided, is too little for any one to give you a opinion/advice except for a general 'run of the mill' titbits. What i would recommend is to list out top 3 careers you see yourself in.. and then do a thorough investigation on each. Meet up or talk to people who already hold that positions... linkedin can be a good resource to reach out in this respect. Once you know what it takes to be in that profile along with lifestyle and future prospects for each of those positions, ask your self again if you are the right person or if it still enthralls you. If the answer is yes, then actively pursue top 5 companies you would like to work for in that profile. P.S. dont ever say ' Im the smartest person I know' in any interview unless you can back it up by some solid logic. And also " Im " is wrote as " I am". Good luck. |

I honestly thigh just wanted someone in SM opinion about it... Just what they thought of I'm really. I'm is the shortened form of I am and I am from the south so you wont catch me using that took many times |

Edited by Sender 10-10-2013 09:07 Merits? this would depend on where you are. Not only internationally, but nationaly. Here in the US...the jobs vary by region, greatly. you have hotspots, such as CA, CO, GA, WA with TONS of great development jobs, then other areas where IT focuses on other areas, like infrastructure/networking, etc, and development/programming isn't the highest priority. As with almost any career, you get out of it, what you put into it. If programming is something you love to do, you will excel at it, if you view it as a paycheck, you won't. I have been doing development/IT/Managerial work for 15+ years now, and I still enjoy it. I do less development now, and more managerial, as my interest have changed. Also, "programming" really is a catch all phrase, b/c development can mean SOO many different things. You can do web dev, mobile dev, game dev, business process dev, QA, etc...that will also affect your pay, skills, career path, etc. I think i saw that you said you were still in high school. your mind will most likely change 50 times between now and graduation. take a into course in many things, find your interest/passion and go for it. |
