I don't understand billboards. 5 days ago, I was at $710,000. If I were to accept the 4 (shitty) offers I have now, I would be at $600,000. If I wait a few days, suddenly the offers will double. It's quite silly. | 23/10/2013 03:57 |

It took me forever to build up my squad's workers (scout, coaches, etc.) and 2 full years (8 seasons) to train up my youth and build up enough capital to get this team to where it is. I have had it for literally 1/3 of a season, and now they are going to kill the server. The entire game is a pyramid scheme where we absolutely need new users with new teams to buy up the things we have to sell in order to continue affording better players. The new server is not like another pt server, it is a shinier, newer game that all new users will choose over this server. Thus, within a year or less, the pyramid will collapse, deflation will set in and it becomes no fun. Who wants to lose money on their investments? This was what caused the Great Depression in the USA, oddly enough. When they see all their profit going to the new server, they will continue to keep this one open until it stops making money, and then they will close it, offering incentives to begin again on the new server. That will be in 3-4 years max. I'm never going to get another Kiril Demiri, that was a magnificent buy that took a ton of luck and a ton of effort to get. I am spending about 80% less time on here than I did when I first started, and it takes time to win this game. Of course, I am much, much more interested in the tactical side of things than I am in the market side of things, others like the thrill of buying/selling. For me, it is the act of winning with a weaker army (on paper), and training up players to be better because of a greater understanding of the sim and what is important in it. Of course, I am not very good at these things because of the massive amount of randomness in the sim, but I'm doing all right this season. I will reserve judgment until we see the new server. Maybe it will be a prettier skin on the same rotting innards, in which case my dire prediction will not hold. People will still join the old server equally and it won't die. Or nobody will join either and U-Play will fold  . That's a true worst case scenario for them, I guess! |

I agree to cello with he fact that all the time and GBs we have invested in the game so far will be 0, that certainly does not sound entirely correct. |

Ultimately that will always be the case, but you don't invest in this game to make a profit - you're a fool if you do - you invest in it to have fun. I think starting over in a new server will be lots of fun, and I can't wait for us to load up and take on any opponent, spanish or otherwise. This is the best PL in the game. I don't see any reason why the same will not be said of the new server  |
