I think this is an awesome idea. Anything that we can do to have more control over our team and how we choose to play them is great. I'm all for the ideas that reward the managers who take the time to learn and calibrate tactics, and excel for doing so. With this idea, we have the opportunity to fine tune our systems and get exactly what we want from our players. As an aside, I'm not sure why there are so many responses that cast aside an idea for being "too difficult" or "too problematic" to implement. I think the point of the suggestion board is to generate new ideas for the developers to consider when improving the game for all of us. Realistically, any change is going to be met with problems but I'm not sure that this should discourage us from brainstorming and forwarding SM together. |

Finally someone who understands my suggestion! That's exactly what I am wanting in the game, more control of the players, hence the tactics. what is it then, if not a football manager? the game is improving season after season, why keep thinking that things won't get a bit more complex? Some people doubted that the simulator would get from commentary to graphics based and animation, and it did, and it will get better, why not make it more complex for the managers that want it more engaging? I would definately use the feature, but I think it would put off a lot of newish managers and the game may well die a death. Its why im against making the game too complicated. Anyone who had lots of these types of tactics would be unhelpable, its already hard to help them with the current level of tactics. | 23/07/2013 18:12 |

Well, the newish managers don't know how to use the advanced tactics as we speak, that's why the basic ones exist. The more veteran users would mostly benefit from this one, although it would be helpful for the begginers aswel, given the lack of squad depth. Most of us here have took long hours of fine tuning our teams and learning by trial and error and discovering new things about the game, that's what makes a game great, the gameplay, it's complexity, it's ability to make you discover new challenges and options. | 23/07/2013 20:00 |

The reason I said this is no "football manager" is because of the budget constraints. SM do not have the staff or money to match the features that FM has. I see good suggestions in the forum all the time and I can't recall ever seeing one implemented in the game. |
