Hey dneigh, is your algorithm the position in the league times the team rank? So div 2 is 20+position on the table and div 3 would be 40+position? | 11/07/2013 13:27 |

I would have to go back and look at it, but yes it is something like that. The idea was to try to weight division, but also honor position. Do a Div 2 position 20 and a Div 3 position 1 would be close to the same modifier. I use team rank as well because it factors in schedule strength of cup and private league (as well as friendlies). It also is a good history indicator. It takes time to raise team rank. I track them separate so leagues can see how they are doing positionally as well as team rank. The overall rank is a combination of the two. I believe in a prior post I put out all the calculations. I am traveling this week or I would dig it up and post now. |
