Many more shots are on target, and potential for scoring on breakaways has increased, I have seen this on the es server and in my game today. There were plenty of 1-on-1 misses, but my second shot was a goal. In my es server crap div 6 team's first game, the second shot was a goal too. First shot in the 3rd game, and so on. Wait and watch, we'll get more definitive results soon. I've noticed it as well |

"missed shots". 27/36 shot on/off goal only generated 4 goals. too much shot "off" goals failed conversion to be goals <-- previous sim too much shot "on" goals failed conversion to be goals <-- new sim like i mention before on other thread, results will be the same. oh ya, mids pass to strikers and generated offsides infront of goal still happened. |

You may find that goal number increase with more net-breaker skill, in any case you're right man, shot accuracy has improved. Total shots on target today in my game (mine + opponent): 30/43 or ~70% Last 2 games: 25/52 + 22/47 = 47/99 or ~47% That's a massive increase in accuracy, I'm thinking over the week it will average out to around ~65% accuracy but we'll see. It seems that goal/shots ratio is relatively unchanged, and as I said before this could increase with Net-breakers, but at the very least it's much more enjoyable to watch |

My game was dominated by offside calls, more so than in my previous games. My opponent used the high offside line with great success. Even when I broke the line, he's defenders whose average speed is lower than my forwards technique got back to smother the ball in front of the penalty box. Now my forwards were good enough to pull out a draw but let's analyse this. Defenders speed is back, forwards shots are slightly better, Defenders can tackle better. Thus the overall benefit falls to the defenders and thus a high offside line is back on the cards. Especially because my forwards and mids still pass to a player in an offside position even though they are clear for a shot on goal. So I expect many to revert back to the high offside line, especially the lower division teams because my match yesterday was a massive contrast to my first round game against the 18th placed team. Make of it what you want but I feel we've missed the boat on this one. A simple solution was one touted by other managers, Yellow and Red cards for the last defender tackling from behind. |

It doesn't matter what changes were made, it's still a poor SIM. Idiot keepers, dopey defenders, terrible passing midfielders, and strikers (with 90+ shot) that often come closer to hitting the corner flag than a shot on target. The SIM is what it is. |

Koppington just look at fernando torres the ball could go anywhere, or sergio ramos taking a penalty, or stuwart downing making an assist etc | 12/02/2013 11:18 |

I think it's pretty damn good, and I weigh that up against the fact that it doesn't have to cost a damn thing |

I just don't think the changes made to the SIM ever really improve it that much. Maybe it's just too expensive to bin it and start anew, but as I've said previously, the auto matches in ISS (back in mid 90's) were more realistic. The current SIM is closer to something on the C64. |
